During our lives we are the victims of stupid accidents that seem to totally defy logic (and also the theory of probabilities). What would be the stupidest way you have evver accidentally hurt yourself?

I was walking in a straight line and lost my footing, twisted back to grab the doorframe to steady myself and dislocated my kneecap! Ridiculous!! Wish I had an interesting story to it like I was skiing or something but no, I dislocated my kneecap walking! Have you hurt yourself in a stupid way then?

To be honest, milady... I think that you are eligible for a hug. It's defying logic, your accident. As about me, well, I hurt myself in a myriad of ways. For instance, 6-7 years ago, in order to highlight my manhood, I've tried to jump in a convertible, but actually i jumped on the steering wheel and from there I've landed back on the street. Should I mention that my date wasn't necesarilly impressed by my conjenctural stunt?

Haha well.... lately... the stupidest way was by carrying a bag and a 3-ring binder in one hand while riding a bike - holding on with only one hand. Doh! The first bump I hit sent me flying. MS http://www.biosyourlife.com

It would be an hypocrisy not to highlight the fact that when I'm reading all the comments here I can't stop laughing... typing and laughing. I never imagined it could be possible;-)

I have to say that the DUMBEST way I ever hurt myself is when I was making homemade chicken wings and wasnt payign attention to what I was doing...I ended up deep frying two of my finger tips LOL...NOT my brightest moment...then of course there was the time I climbed up on a wall at Letchworth State Park to take a pic and LUCKILY rather than falling 250ft forward into the gorge I stepped down backwards and busted up my knee (tore the ligaments pretty badly)...What was stupid about it was I was standing right where one of the MANY BRIGHT LARGE FLORECENT words saying "DO NOT CLIMB GORGE WALL" was painted LOL

When I was a kid, my dad bought me a sling-shot. I used to go around shooting rocks and marbles and cans and perhaps the occasional bird or dog or whatever I could find. My uncle told me that I could aim the slingshot better if I stuck my thumb up between the uprights on the frame of the slingshot and use it as a guide to aim at my target, then drop my thumb right before letting the shot go. I tried it a few times, and it actually seemed to help a little, but then it happened... I had my thumb up and was aiming my shot when THE ROCK SLIPPED OUT OF MY HAND! That's right, the rock slipped out of my hand, releasing the shot before I was ready. The rock hit me square in the thumb-nail, driving it deeply into the skin of my thumb. It hurt like hell, and the entire thumb-nail eventually fell off, and it took several weeks for my thumb to completely heal. I still used my sling-shot after that, but I never tried to use my thumb to aim it again...

Ok, I had many stupid accidents but this one I remember the most. Two years ago I found an old PC lying in my basement. I wanted to get the HDD out to see what was on it (you can find some funny stuff on old HDDs) so I tried to pull the HDD out. Screws were damaged but I managed to unscrew them but even after unscrewing the HDD was still holding tight there. I was thinking how to get it out but nothing came on my mind except brute force approach. I started to pull but HDD didn't even move so I used more force and tried once again. You remeber those old AT cases which had very rugged and rough edges... I was pulling it so hard that not only I pulled HDD out but I have also cut myself to the case. In the beginning I had thought it was nothing severe but after that I saw blood all over my motorcycle, the floor and all over the HDD. I got no stitches but my palm was severely hurt.

haha oh that brings back memories. I was in highschool gym class and we had to line dance. Yes I'm from the sticks. Anyways we were doing it on the wrestling mats and I had wore flip flops to school that day and so I took them off to dance. As I was making a turn my pinkie toe decided to stay in place while the rest of my foot moved. It ended up at a 90 degree angle to the side of my foot. I couldn't walk on it for a week.
