What was your most demeaning moment at work or school?

I currently work as an actor in a Wild West Show in France. The cast is filled with authentic Cowboys and Native Americans hired from the USA and also features horses, bison, longhorn cattle, wagons, a stagecoach, and plenty of stunts. It's a very masculine, testosterone-fueled show that's been very successful. I've recently learned that the producers are hoping to reposition the show towards the family-with-children-under-seven demographic by introducing DISNEY characters into several scenes. Nothing against Mickey, but dang.. it feels very demeaning. On the upside, I'm pretty confident the characters will look more ridiculous out there than us.
I'm guessing almost everyone here has suffered at least one similarly demeaning moment in recent times. What was it? What was your most demeaning moment at work or school?

Hmmm, well, since I am a healthcare support worker I regularly have patients hurl verbal abuse at me and crap on me (literally). So, y'know, dressing up as Minnie Mouse would be pretty cool in comparison...
i remember being accused of talking during storytime when i was about 7 and my best friend was asked what i was saying - she said, 'I think she was probably talking to herself...she does that..' Now it would be quite true but then I was really upset by it.

Wow, slinging human crap. That puts my job in perspective. We have plenty of herbivore excrement in the arena and when I was doing stunts in the show it ended up pretty much everywhere sometimes, but nothing like what you experience. I have deep respect and appreciation for those working close-up in health care. Not an easy job. Thanks for what you do and thanks for your comment.
