i think that it all comes down to the food that you eat, although i also think that sleep is important to function well everyday. not getting enough sleep could lead to stress. stress could lead to gaining more wait by eating a lot. i think the opposite of sleeping late could lead to losing weight. if you have enough or excess sleep, that could help you to think and make better decisions for you health.

here the sitch if youll not sleep. your body wont be able to recharge the energy spent for the days activity, so your stored fats will be used as replacement"because your body was not able to recharge it", and by doing so, the metabolize fat will produce a by product called the ketone bodies which is very harmful to out body specially if there number is increase. so better have enough sleep then eat the right food and in moderation and dont forget to exercise. and the key in losing weight is DISCIPLINE. control the food you eat. less fats&carbs and more on protein and fiber. thats it. enjoy losing weight

sleeping late and not sleeping at all will only aggravate the situation of one's being overweight. the tendency of one person who has not been sleeping well, will be to eat more to compensate for what's lost in sleep so as to feel a little better.
when one lacks sleeping hours, the person feels bad and odd. in order to feel a little better the person will take foods which are perceived to be healthy.
when one wants to lose weight, food intake will have to be limited to highly fibrous and nutritious foods minus all the fats and calories to the maximum level feasible. also, the person needs to go through some exercises which will have to be rigorous enough to produce a good amount of sweat while so doing. when one has been through a good night sleep, these are all easily achievable as one feel good upon waking up in the early morning.
so, if you target to lose weight while maintaining a good form, sleep early and sleep good, have a balanced diet, cut on calories and fats, increase the fiber in your diet, exercise and sleep well and good.

I have always heard that not getting enough sleep actually makes it harder to lose weight. I've read that one of the important parts to losing weight is to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, because it can help to decrease appetite throughout the day so that you don't get hungry quite as much, and it also gives your body a chance to rest so that you can be healthier overall.

I don't think so, because I used to sleep late and and I am not getting enough sleep from years but I have only gain weight, infact this can lead us to many problems especially the stomach problems like gas, indigestion etc, and for sure it will not help to reduce our weight at all

Late night sleep or not enogh sleep will only make our health condition go back.In no way it will help us in losing weight.Only during sleep, our body gets engaged in metabolic activities. When you allocate less time for your sleep, less amount of metabolic or digestive action will take place. As a result, the net energy you get will become less. You will not have enough energy to do your day's work nor you can concentrate in any work you do as you will feel tired.
The key to lose weight is just following diet restrictions and continuous exercising..
