Have any of you used home teeth whitening products?

Hello there, I recently bought a home tooth whitening system which I had forgotten about until today so I thought I would give it a go. You basically have two plastic "retainer" type things that you put gel on and then hold in your mouth covering your teeth. You then put this little blue light in and wait for ten minutes and you do this daily for 15 days. This is my first day of doing it and I was just wondering if any of you had any luck with products such as these? I smoke and drink many cups of coffee so my teeth are not as white as I would want them to be and I have already tried many whitening toothpastes and mouth washes to no avail so I thought I would try this out. Any guidance, advise etc. would be appreciated!
