How many notebooks do you have going right now?

I know writers love having "paper" supplies around them, for the most part, but I've been talking to a lot of writers lately who don't seem to be doing this as often. I have six notebooks on my desk right now - all serving a different purpose, and I don't forsee myself ending this practice of multiple notebook use anytime soon. I love writing on paper and, when my eyes grow tired from too much computer use, I'll end my day writing my work in my notebooks to transcribe in the morning.

I have two journals, but have not written in them for a while. I do have a bad wrist - I fell and broke one of my wrists, my left one, and since I am left handed, it still is sore. I can only write for ten minutes before my writing becomes illegibe, so I prefer to use my computer. And it is no sense in writing by hand if years later, you cannot read it, is it?

Is there a limit? :) I've got 7 beside me right now, plus 4 at strategic spots in the house. That way one is in reach at all times. The 7 beside me each have specific things. One is a list of websites I want to visit, but don't have time yet. Another is tips on computer use, for when I have a snafu but can't remember how to fix. Another for story ideas, another for what I have to get done but just remembered... Oh, it could go on forever!

I'm trying to keep it to just one each time. It's very hard though. If I have more then one, my brains become scattered and I have to consolidate all my ideas back into one, or I will not be able to work on any completely. I use it to jot down ideas mostly and type directly onto the computer when I'm done brainstorming. I love notebooks!!!

I keep scratch paper, something that I printed out and is only printed on one side. Sometimes I write notes on paper, but usually I open my word processor and just type in notes. The older I get the less legible my handwriting becomes. Typing is something I'm more likely to be able to decipher later. However to stimulate the creative juices I like to take pen in hand and just start doodling. Sometimes it's words and sometimes it just lines or circles, but it gets ideas flowing.

Hello explorations, I only have 3 notebooks...and there all full of writings and drawings. I love to write but most of the time I just use Notepad or Microsoft Word because I find it alot easyier to type than write when my creative jucies are flowing I have to get them all out at a very fast rate..most of the time I'm just sitting here infront of my computer when an idea sparks for a poem or story so I just pull up notepad and type it all down before I forget. If it's something really good it goes on papper aswell though. :)
