What computer language is better to learn

Recently,I want to learn computer language.But I don't know what language is better to learn.I study the language to build a site I like.my freind get advice me for study C++,jave,PHP,JSP and more.And what your advice?

Before you go for any other programming languages,you should work out with C.Its the fundamental languages and once you are through with that,you will have your basics strong.Regarding web applications,If you are newbie totally,I would suggest you to try .NET with C# or VB.NET because with this the learning time is shorter.Once you begin to get some confidence with the application development and the programming,you can go ahead with languages like Java or PHP.
