Hi, I have a friend who's crazy after computer games, he is investing loads of money in PC, so i dont have to buy new components , I just go to him and play on his PC :) i'm a little devil.

If your graphics card is obsolete after a few months than you made a poor choice. A good video card should be able to play most games that come out within the next two years. I bought a 6800GT back in 2005 that is still capable of playing most games although some need to have the settings lowered. I recently upgraded to a 9800GT which I expect to be good for quite some time.

if u are worrying about graphics cards u should also worry about the ram of ur comp and also the format(blu ray and such).
if u buy an average comp(the one that can play all games at present) at present it should be able to play most of the games coming up in the next 2 years or so and then obviously u r going to get bored of it and upgrade it or buy a new one. so dont worry.
