I think this is one part of our body that is very difficult to trim. Do you have a flat tummy already? How did you do it? What exercises you usually do to attain a flat belly? How do you maintain it? Or are you still planning to flatten your tummy? How will you do it?

You are right shav9292! If we really want to achieve something, we should work hard for it. And having a flat tummy really needs a lot of effor. Not to mention, diet, exercise and discipline to oneself. But I think, it's all worth it. In the end, it is you who will benefit from all your hardwork. Let's all have flat tummies! Cheers!

I have often wondered this myself especially as I have been going to the gym religiously for over two years and still can't seem to shift mine. If anyone has any ideas as to how to do this and achieve the ultimate wash board stomach....please let me know.

I've read an article from a female network website that the first step to have a flat tummy is to practice a good posture. As abdominal muscles are partly responsible for holding our bodies upright. "Correcting poor posture can make you five pounds slimmer instantly," said Deborah L. Mullen, a certified strength and conditioning specialist in CA. So, i think we have to start from the basic, practice good posture!

Well, it would certainly take effort to do this and a lot of determination. Our tummy from among the other muscles is the less moving muscles of all. This is the reason that most of the fats are stored. It is really important to have discipline in so far as food is concerned. Also, we should do exercise like crunches and sit up and of course do some jogging to take out the fats.

well..
it seems that if you do crunches ( i think about 100 a day) or sit-ups (also 50 a day) religiously everyday.
As for me, my spirit is willing but body needs to be more willing.

sorry friend but just by doing crunches you cannot attain a flat stomach.....by doing crunches you will get the abs but your fat will remain over the muscle.
you can only attain a flat stomach by removing that fat by running or jogging, cardio.
or any other fat burning exercises, you should diet too.
have a nice day! :)

Hi siomaii, if you are familiar with yoga slanting board, try to secure one, or do it yourself. It is a flat board wherein two feet is 12 inches high and the 2 is jst flat to the ground slanting. All you have to do is just lay down at the slanting board, where your head is at the lower part and your feet is at higher part.
Just lay flat as you can and inhale exhale, it will allow blood to circulate, makes your whole body firm, lift your bust, face, arms, and absolutely makes stomach firm and flat. do it 30 mintes a day. Much better to do it if you are tired because it may relax you also and release the tensions. I usually takes my nap in it and you can see its result the soonest.

Hey hope this helps. If you eat sensibly and do fat burning exercises at the gym you will shift the fat. Green tea and spinach are good ways of speeding up metabolism. As for exercises to do crunches only work the top abs. the lower abs are the ones that cause the stomach to be flatter. Try doing leg raises and working your lower abs. I myself do Boxing and muay thai and very often use medicine balls. try doing a set of sit ups n then bouncethe medicine ball constantly on your stomach for 40 seconds. This helps flatten and make yor stomach firmer. Hope this has been a help!
