Do you have a phobia? What is it?

I have a fear of spiders, that is called "arachnophobia". I don't really like spiders, specially those big ones, I'm afraid of them. When there is a spider inside my room, I would keep the lights on and I would keep my eyes on the spider. Lol! I have to be aware of where it is time to time. Because if it becomes out of my sight, then it can be besides me in no time and unexpected. Lol! How about you, what's your phobia?

I have several one of them is "Acrophobia" which is a fear of heights, for some reason I cannot be very high up in a building, sure the view is better at the top but still, I get scared. I can't even be in a plane without shaking, once it goes up, well of course you can't change that, but for me, I cry. I hate being in high places. I once broke down so bad in a hotel room in Vegas because we were on the 22 floor!! I was literally going bonkers. I try to get used to it but, it's not always easy to hide my fear. I get made fun of because of it.

lol i have arachnophobia too, i hate spiders, i wont sleep if theres one in my room and once when id just had a shower, i got out and this huge spider crawled across my chest and i stripped my dressing gown off and ran through the house, i hate hate hate them lol, but i dont understand why cus they are kinda cute... well sum are

Haha, your story makes me laugh. Lol! Did somebody saw you after you stripped your robe? Lol! Actually while I was reading your post, I suddenly imagined that there is a spider ready to crawl at me. Haha. I also hate spiders but I don't see them cute. Thanks for your response. Have a nice day!

i HATE spiders! just looking at them gives me goose bumps. i feel like they're crawling on me. my family takes my fear of spiders funny. when they see a spider, theyd call me and show it to me. one time my brother made a spider out of black cloth and string and he pinned it on the wall beside my bed. imagine my shock when i opened my room and saw it!
i always tell them that if they're locked inside a room, and the door keys are inside a box full of spiders, and i'm the only one outside who could help them, i just want them to know that i love them very much .. hehe

Haha, I know what you have felt. We share the same phobia. I think people don't have to make fun of those who have phobia, because it may give a negative effect, it can make the person nervous, and that's not funny. Well, your last sentence is so funny. Lol! Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day!

I'm not sure of the actual name for the phobia, but I am unnaturally uneasy about people. It's almost like an anxiety thing. It's really a big problem. There's phone calls I can't make, places I refuse to go into...etc. Now that I have a kid it's really pushing me to the limits on what I can accomplish and what I just can't do.

Oh, that's a serious problem. Maybe you're a shy person. I used to be too shy also before but I overcomed it. I guess you just have to be confident of yourself. Don't be afraid to commit mistakes, all of us get wrong sometimes. Just be yourself, have confidence.
