Facebook social experiment

I was considering conducting a social experiment on Facebook. I am not asking for anyone to join me as a friend there. I like Facebook to be people I know...sorry ... Anyway; I was thinking of my discussion on how many people really mean they want to help when they offer it. Many of my friends on Facebook have said they wished they could help when my hubby lost his job. The experiment I am thinking about is seeing how many people would truly be willing to help if it means joining myLot and MyPoints. What do you think? Have you ever conducted a social experiment on any social networking site? If you did what kind of experiment was it? Did you get the results you hoped?
