Paypal is not a scam. It is one of the most popular online payment methods. I have used it for a long time but never experienced a case like yours. I think you should contact Paypal to see what's wrong with your account.
I love China

You need to link your account to a bank account to withdraw the funds.
You haven't lost your money, you can use the funds to pay on any site that accepts paypal.
Contact customer services as they will be able to explain in more detail than I can.
But paypal is not a scam. I have been using it quite satisfactoraly for the last few years now.

Well I am not sure what has happened to you, but I use Paypal regularly and make several transactions both received and sent without ever a problem, and that also includes transfers to and from my Bank Account.
Have you verified your account with Paypal. I didn't use a credit card to verify mine, I just linked it to my bank account and they then sent two small payments to my account which I then confirmed on the Paypal website and Voila, account verified.
I suggest that you contact customer services and they might be able to resolve any problems for you.

that's weird. have you tried contacting them about it. I've gotten emails about that before but when i logged in there was nothing of that time. i think that it was someone trying to get my information to my account. i really don't know why you would be having this issue if you don't have any card attached to the account. but like i said contact them to see whats going on that's your best bet. i wish that i could help you out better but I've never really had that problem with my account. well good luck and i hope that you get it solved.

If you paypal is limited it is probably for a very good reason. Someone could have tried to access your account or something. You need to write to them they will answer you you just need to be patient and wait for your reply.

you have the limited account only because you can not transfer money from your paypal account to a bank you still have your money you just can only use it for internet purchases. you do not need a credit card you just need to verify a bank.

Hi There!
SAme things happen to me. I actually received 34 dollars from mylot last year and when I tried to access it, my account was limited! I have a credit card so I am not bothered to enter my information to get it activated again. However, when I tried adding my credit card info, it didn't work. It keep saying that since it is limited, I won't be able to add my credit card or ATM bank information with them. I just don't understand why it would not let me add it when the only way to resolve it completely is by linking your credit card and ATM card number.
I thought I was doing it incorrectly, i did created another account in paypal and ALAS! I was able to add my credit card information there... It is fine with me but my 34 dollars was still in my other paypal account. I can't call them since I am here in Philippines. It is very expensive if I call them for 34 dollars... I did email them but it gives me automated answers. Their email support is not good enough.
I don't know how to resolve it either... I just lose hope and continue to use my new account since it accepted my account information! If you are in USA then you may call their toll free customer service number, I guess... Goodluck!
Thanks for the discussions. Have a great day and happy mylotting! Cheers!

Have you tried sending to the money to your new paypal from your old one?

Yes, I did try but it says that I cannot send money since it was limited. I got an email too that I can try to withdraw the money by adding my atm card which I did but it didn't help... it keep saying "you can't add any cards since you have limited access". It is really contradicting.

Paypal is not a scam.
Just scan some of your ID proof, as you've entered into your account. It can be your passport, voters ID or even some address proof verified by a gazzetted officer.
Send it by email to the customer service, their response is fast and you'll have your account unlimited in no time.
But if you want to withdraw your money, you'll need to register for a CC or buy a VCC which is just $5-$15 online (be careful not to be scammed).
But if you're using it for online spending and shopping, you'll need to verify with your CC or VCC.
Im a student too, and ive verified my account with a VCC and even withdrew the money onto my bank account recently.
Happy mylotting.

There have been many discussions regarding paypal account.I hope that the mylot authorities would look into it, also the others who pay through paypal. There are many people who complain about loosing money for some reason or the other. i have no personal experience of this, but, one can never be sure what happens later.
It is good to discuss this here so that the others come to know about the any negative points

You could call their customer service and ask to speak to a manager or send a complaint ticket.Have you tried getting verified some other way besides a credit card I don't have a premium acc with them only a personal and that verification expires after a while and then you'll have to do it all over again*SIGH*.Best Wishes.

I would call PayPal customer service. They are pretty helpful. I have been using pay pal for many years, and I have had a couple of problems but they were resolved right away once I called customer service. I know you are upset, but I have to say that paypal is not a scam, they are a legitimate company, you just need to get a hold of them and work something out with them.

First of all just becuase you are having trouble with the site you shouldn't say that it is a scam. You should have just posted your problems to see if anyone knew how to fix it. It's like the boy that cried wolf. I suggest that you call customer service but really I think problem could of been resolved if you would have really looked at paypal first. Then you would have known the requirements and wether or not you could do them. I have been using paypal for months now and have never had a problem. I actually just started their cash back rewards program and yesterday recieved my first nine dollars put back into my account. You can imagine how excited I was to see that I got money put back into my account. Check out their forums and see what kind of information you can find out but please don't go calling fire when there isn't one.

I have always used paypal without any problems, I had to link it to my bank account in order to verify it. I think you should contact them, send an email or phone them to get to the root of the problem. Maybe because your account isnĀ“t verified caused this problem.
