Hello, I just went on H&R Block site.

I just went on their site to see what the rates would be for filling our taxes well I could not find anything but I did find what they called tax refund Calculator and so just out of curiosity I decided to type in all of our info like what was made last year in wages and defendants info and federal withheld tax. When they take all this info in they then give you an estimate of what your refund will be. And ours came up to about 8,069 dollars that is if we don't have to pay any in this year like we had to do last year. But I just thought you all would like to know just in case you want to know what you might get back. If we get close to what was our estimate that would be great because then we could catch up on bills. Happy Mylotting

Good for you, I hope the calculator is accurate for you! We should get a pretty sizable refund as well, but I won't know for sure until my hubby receives his W2. As for the cost of filing - provided you don't have a lot of complex issues, you can file yourself using a program like Turbo Tax, www.taxslayer.com, or any other number of online programs, and then you can e-file for somewhere between 9.95 and 19.95 (federal return). I think H&R Block charges at least 60 dollars to file, but I could be completely off the mark, since we always do our own taxes and e-file. Good luck!

I hope it is accurate, the last I knew we paid 180.00 to file which I think is a little pricey there, but my hubby said that he still wants to go to H&R Block. If I knew how to file our selves without screwing it up I would just so that it would be cheaper. Happy Mylotting

If your finances are pretty straightforward - for instance, if the only thing you need to file your taxes is your W2's, maybe a 1099 to tell you how much interest you've earned - then you can do it yourself and the program you use does the hard stuff for you. All you do is put the info from you W2's in (and the 1099, if you have one), put in your dependent info, and answer a few questions. I think last year it only took me about 10 minutes to file. It was a bit easier because I had used the same program the prior year, and they stored my info. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself if you have a lot of complicated things to deal with, but otherwise I'd say go for it. Easier, faster, cheaper.

I did mine and my brothers on their site last year and it was free to file them online for federal, but they charged for state. So, I ended up printing out the state ones and mailing them in.

You just basically input your information into boxes on the site. Really simple. I have gone and gotten mine done before just so I could get it back quicker though. Online you have the option of check or direct deposit.

OK it sounds like a good deal there. I will definitely have to talk to my hubby about that because that is what we need,is to get our refund faster. Happy Mylotting

Is there site set up just like what they use in the office? That is if you ever went to the office ever to file. Was it easy to file? These answers would be great. Happy Mylotting
