Are you more of a starter or a responder?

Here in myLot you gain points by either you start a discussion and someone responds to it, or you respond to a discussion other people have started. What do you do more, starting a discussion or responding to a discussion? Me, I think I'm more of a starter than a responder. I like earning points better when I'm the one started it. How about you? A starter or a responder?

hi there markmoney. Well, there's a lot of mylotters now compared last year and I can tell discussions are almost the same. Some are quite boring to reply too..sorry but it's true. I've been here for a year now and I prefer to response to some of discussions that I find interesting that making some discussions.Well, it's not the points my friend but the length of your post. Making 3-5 long sentences can earn you more than .01 cents every post you make. Meaning it's not about making a lot of post but the quality it self.So keep up the good work and congratulations for reaching 200+ post..anyway, need to reach 500th post before you can use the smileys...have a nice day and enjoy posting!

Hi mialei23! Yes, I believe you, there's really a lot of discussions that were been repeated many times. So it's quality which is important, thank you for that. Oh yes, maybe the reason why you got wrong in the 500 mark is you're already too far way up and your 200 mark is a long time ago already. But it's ok, thank you for your willingness to help. And yes, 500 mark would be my next target, for the copy and paste. Thanks again and have a nice day!

I am more of a responder. I have started a handful of discussions, but get a little disappointed when I don't get many responses. I also find that many of the topics which I want to talk about already have discussions going, so I don't bother starting a new discussion, I just respond to the ones already there.
Just an observation, but I have also noticed that you don't get further points on your number when you add comments to your own discussions. I had a great discussion earlier this week which has racked up over 60 responses so far (which was great). I have added comments to everyone who has kindly responded, but my number hasn't gone up in relation to those comments.
:)

Yes, I feel the same when I only get few responses and even no response sometimes. Yes, I think we can't get points from commenting to a response. Yes, it feels great when you get many responses, like when you received 60 and more. Thank you for your response. Have a nice day!

I like responding better; I just start discussions when I have some burning topic on my mind that hasn't been discussed recently here. Of course, myLot needs both type of poster to function well. If we were all starters, no one would ever talk to each other. If we were all responders, we wouldn't be able to talk about the same range of topics that we do now.

Yes, you're right, we should really do both, starting a discussion and responding to a discussion. Thanks for your response.

Oh yes, sometimes it's really hard to think of a topic to discuss that's why we ended up just responding to a discussion we are interested. Thanks for you response.

I would have to say more of a responder, only I have been here for a week so far.... maybe in a month as I learn new things and my way around I may become more of a starter?...LOL
if I can think of things to start that I think others will be interested in, then I post one and see how it goes.

You have a great start, wow! I'm sure you will be one of the cash earners here in myLot in the near future. Also, congratulations for reaching the 100 mark, you also now have a star. Target next the 200 mark, doing so, you can then able to use smileys to your posts. Thanks for the response. Have a nice day!
