how long would you own your cellular phone?

hi all! cellular phones are considered as one of the most essential electronic gadgets in modern human life. and with the latest technological innovations, cellular phones are not just mere mobile telephones, but they are now multifunction and multipurpose devices. the most modern phones can serve as a PDA, an mp3 player, a video player, a digital camera, a voice recorder, an internet browser, an email client, a gaming machine and even a flashlight, decibel meter and a thermometer, all while still reliably acting as a cellphone and SMS device. and because of this, the features may play a role in making you wanna own that phone longer or shorter. some people replace their phones quickly (1 month, 6 months, 1 year) because they want the latest in technology, or the phone is not durable enough. some people own their phones for a very long time or until the phone eventually dies out (my mom used to keep using her old Nokia 3310 for 5 years!). in my case, although i still keep using my phones until they die out, i occasionally buy a newer phone with better features, but i still use the old phones for my other SIM cards. right now, i have a Samsung G600 for my main subscription, a Nokia 6630 for my second SIM card and a Motorola W165 that i recently gave to a friend. as for the two phones, i think i'll be owning them until they malfunction. probably in 2-3 years? how about in your case, how long would you own your cellular phone and why? thanks and happy mylotting!
