The Next Outdoor Classic

I also heard Heinz field, PNC Park, or Beaver Stadium. If it's going to be Beaver Stadium, then the Pens vs. Flyers. I would like to go to another Winter Classic game. That was so much fun and I still have the pictures from the Winter Classic between the Pens and Sabres =).

I'd rather see the Winter Classic in Canada. I'm so sick of the Boston and New York rivalry. I have feeling it will be in New York or Boston though because Bettman hates Canada. He does everything he can to piss them off. Wouldn't that be something? Vegas ahead of cities like Toronto? lol

One of the main reasons they are looking at Vegas is that the ratings where good for previous Winter Classics. Believe it or not there is a lot of hockey love in that desert town. The NHL is also looking at make sure the winter classic is not strickly a Stadium game. Back in the early ninties the Rangers and Kings played a preseason out door game there so not a far stretch in that area. As for Montreal I think it will be a few years due to them having the ASG this year. Don't look for next years game to be in Vegas or the Rose Bowl, but possibly year afters.

I can definately see Yankee stadium. It would be like a grand opening to that building. A supposed new look Yankee roster ready to create some new history for themselves as well as the NHL outdoor classic. In this scenerio, dispite the previous posters disliking for the New York/Boston rivalry, I can certainly see it being the Rangers and Bruins seeing as both are original six teams. Even though I am Canada, I am okay with that. In fact, I would like to see it.
