What is your favourite freeware software program?

Personally i'm a huge fan of freeware,When i first got my PC i didn't know it existed and bought all my programs,And when i did first hear about it i thought it must be full of viruses and constantly crashing computers,Because it's free,But to my delight freeware is in no way different from paid software.I mean how cool is it that you can get replicas of paid software for free,Because everybody knows that in life nothing is free,But hey in cyber space you can get anything for free. My favourite installed freeware program would have to be Avast anti-virus,Probably as i first had Norton anti-virus that i had to pay for and it was a nightmare,Always playing up and it was very big and unwieldy.Even when i decided to remove the Norton product there was loads of trouble as the program clings on for dear life,I had to download a removal tool from the norton site,Nightmare.So after this i chose to install the free program,Avast,And i have never looked back,Its awesome.

Ya man this free and open source thing is getting better everyday. And the functionality are also getting better. MY favorite free ware is the UBUNTU OS man. They deliver it right to your home for free and is free of viruses unlike Windows.

Hi nirose,Thank you for your comment.You say that your own personal favourite freeware program is the operating system,UBUNTU,Which i find interesting as i have frequently thought about changing from windows,But i have always been put of doing so thinking it to be a difficult task,Was it difficult to replace windows?

NO man i use UBUNTU with the live CD by which you can run programs directly from the cD. And browse the web with the mozilla. then i pick up the CD and use windows again. i think that we are somehow stuck with windows.

My fav freeware software program will be the faststone image viewer where u can convert many format such as jpg,bmp and etc to other format and at the same time u can adjust it size, it also allow to edit the image even though not powerful as adobe photoshop or other and at effect such as grayscale and etc to the image, it also provide a useful view image ability where very suitable to view manga and comic. and we even can add to fav and organic fav. It also provide batch converter and bath rename,we also can change theme. there still has other feature, but aove are the feature that i always use

my favorite freeware is my media player, winamp. Then i like opera, my favorite browser. My anti virus is avira free edition. But i use a pirated version of xp, i will change over to linux in future. I want to be a part of the open source programs. happy mylotting.

I'm using Avast too and i like it! Aside from Avast, my favorite freewares are CCleaner and Spybot. Both work for the well being of the computer and they perform pretty well. I'm using Cablenut too to speed up my internet connection.

Mine favorite freeware software is FormatFactory. It supports many file conversion for audio,video & photos.
