hi all!
almost every human society in the whole world has a structured family system. this means that we recognise and respect each of our family members. such family members include you, your offspring, your parents, your uncles, your aunts, and of course, your grandparents.
and because of this, most of the time, you love all members of your family (or clan), especially your grandparents.
ideally, and most of the time, grandparents are very wise, very nice and very sweet, especially to their grandchildren.
sadly, since they're old already, it's only a matter of time before they pass away. and when they pass away, usually the entire family becomes very sad and mourn their demise.
in my case, it is sad that all my grandparents have already passed away. my grandma and grandpa from both dad and mom sides have already passed away even before i entered college. and i miss them so much, especially my maternal grandmother. she's very very sweet and it's sad to see her die because of lung cancer due to second-hand smoke (she's not a smoker). i remember that day... it was december 23 when we arrived and she was already in ICU. she had several cardiac arrests already, and on december 24, she finally passed away. the entire clan mourned her death and recalled how they also missed her husband. that was in 1996. now it's 2009 and i still cried hard (along with the rest of the clan) during the december 2008 reunion when we looked at her photos and videos. we still miss her so much. and i miss all of my grandparents so much.
how about you guys? how much do you miss your grandparents who have passed away?
thanks and have a nice day!
