Do you pinch your pimples?

It looks annoying especially when the pus is starting to show up. I can't help it. I don't wait for it to disappear on its own. I heard some people end up with craters on their faces because of excessive pinching. Do you pinch your pimples or are you patient enough to let them fade on their own? Or do you use products which clears them out overnight. They are quite expensive so I opt for pinching.

How exactly does a "lorna tolentino" pimple look like? Is it worse than Gloria Arroyo pimple or Ate Guy pimple?

Oh, how sad. I have a friend who uses carrot soap to try to eliminate the "post-trauma" craters but to no avail. She's depressed about it.

No i don't. I don't usually get pimples but due to lack of sleep, it's inevitable. I'm too aware that it will cause craters when pinched so as much as possible, i don't unless there's pus . When i was in manila, i got pusless pimples here and there because i never had the means to buy facial wash because i was too pissed off for being there. Now i'm back and my face is as smooth as silk. lol!
I was surprised though that Pond's facial wash was able bring back the glow on my face.

Hey
Well, i use to do this, when i didn't knew pinching pimples can actually cause infection. you are right the pus thing actually looks annoying, u can't do anything with them. Sometimes they hurt so much, i usually apply an antibiotic cream on my pimples, it takes time to clean them but cream really suites me.
Happy Mylotting

Fortunately, mine don't create craters after all those years of pinching and popping and going war-like on the battle with acne. They just darken and peel in time.

Pimples are really annoying and sometimes, they just come out of our face especially when we least expect it. But as much as possible, I really don't mind it and I have never tried pinching it because as my sister told me when I was still in my early teen years, never pinch a pimple or it may be infected or something. Also, it will mark on my face forever if I do. So, I tried not to pinch my pimple. also, I am not a pimple person. I rarely have pimples on my face even if I have or it's already near my period.

Yeah, monthly period's a torture sometimes. Some big ones can really just pop out from practically anywhere. The worst one was on top of my nose.

hello there theresaaiza ^_^ from what i've read in some magazines, they say it's alright to pinch a pimple if it's "ripe", meaning it looks as if it's ready to burst. but you should have a cotton ball and antiseptic ready (neosporin works really well). i think the pimple would heal quite well after that. goodluck!

Oh, hi, thanks for the tip. I am patient enough though to wait till the head comes out (I mean, the pus), and just like the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland used to say, "Off with yer head!"

Yes I am a pincher, I just can't help it. I do make sure that my hands are clean though, because otherwise the pimples will spread.
If you do purchase a product, I recommend witch-hazel if you can get hold of it. It is a natural product which will dry the pimple out and make it go away faster. I get it in a handy stick so I can just dab the skin after I have had a good squeeze.

oh, witch-hazel. I think I've heard of that before. Is it some kind of plant? Herb? Seed? Anyway, that's a breakthrough. Right, I also can't help it. It's really self-mutilating sometimes.

Hi there!
Pinching pimples could cause an infection so we must avoid doing it. Yes, you're right too that it can scar our faces due to excessive pinching.
What I do is wash my face with lukewarm water. The hot water will open the pores and then I use facial wash. After rinsing I follow it up with a cold water to close the pores.
Sometimes pimples are cause by excessive oil on our face. Try using facial wash for oily skin. It might help.
Ciao!

When my pimples comes out, i just leave it i never touch it, never pinch it or put the commercial product to get rid away of them faster.
For pinching im scared when the small crater appear on my face and also i don't want to spend alot for the product which is not really effective for me.

you're one person with a lot of self-control. I can't forgive those little thingies for ruining my face. However, after pinching them, I was actually the one who ruined my face even more. :-(

Same with me, I get too impatient to wait. And I can't look into a mirror without starting to pinch a few small ones moments after. I think I'm pimply too if it weren't for this particular cheap soap that I'm using. I just noticed that if I don't use it, I start getting a few pimplets up my forehead, or under my nose.
