my friend asked me if it is ok to be in love with an officemate? my opinion was that it is ok, as long as it will not affect the work they are in and that work and relationship cannot be mixed together, especially at the office. your officemates might get irritated or insecure of the PDA you are doing. and also, if you have problems with each other, your work might be affected, but of course, it is up to you both if you let it. In your own opinion, is it ok to have a relationship with your officemate?

howdy!.... manixxx!.... ^_^
People at the office are not like those computers or some other dumb machines. lol.... ^_^
That's fine to have romance with someone at the office. The working environment at the office is like feeling working on a garden of roses everyday. With butterflies and bees hovering on some freshly blooming flowers. You hear the song of birds. Until the big bad wolf came (oh I mean the boss) came around and said "Go back to work Romeo and Juliet".... lol
Just remember there's a time for work.... And a time for romance at the office of course....

Well, that can have many complications. I think it's okay for the most part as long as they handle it properly, as you stated; for example, if it's against policy they ought to keep it to themselves. If it's not against company policy they might still want to limit any type of PDA.
However, what if they break up and things end on a bitter note? If they are not responsible or mature enough, it may result in a great deal of tension in the workplace.
I also do not think superiors, such as management, should date those under their leadership. Most companies do strictly prohibit this and I agree because the person they are dating could get unfair advantages over other employees.
