But I didn't really like the Live version. The casting really don't match the actual anime cast and the driving was so fake. The anime talks alot about cars mechanics but the movie didn't and they focus too much on the main character developement.
The 5th version is coming out soon and I am really looking forward for it! Also the next stage will be their LAST episode, Keisuke the driver of RX7 FD3S will go to Proffesional racing and Takumi the Trueno 86 driver will go back to Akina as the legendary un-beatable moutain driver.

I agree, the anime series is very detailed and technical. Drifting and driving fast caught my attention and it has an arcade game too.
It is a fast paced anime series. It would make you like cars and you will find interest on them. It taught us how to take care of our cars and how to fix it. Still, its very technical so if you dont know anything about cars, it would be hard for you to understand some technical topics.

Hi there! I too liked Initial D! and yes I agreed it is NOT like fast and furious type which is way off the true concept of real driftings. From my knowledge the cartoon were started back in 1995 about a highschool kid who just got his driving licence. But during his part-time which he worked for his dad, delivering japanese Tou-fu everyday tru the mountain roads he learned something which he never thought of. Then one day some racing team from another state came for a time attack challenge against all local drivers. His dad told him to challenge them and he'll give something in reward if he wins. He took it and won the race easily and develope a legendary name of the fastest racer on the mountain since that day.
