in a company using SAP, if not.. its hard to get in.
other way.. we can course for SAP training and get certified, making more values..
but its so expensive.. more than oracle n cisco..
its worth it?..

I am a SAP certified configurator and trainer for the sales and distribution module in SAP, and have been doing SAP for about eleven years.
SAP certification is great, but certification is only the first step in finding a job in SAP. Certification will get your foot in the door and a lower level job with a company that is looking for people new to SAP and who will work for a lower per hour rate.
This is where you need to start, because without the certification and the experience you gain on your first jobs in SAP, you will never advance to the higher paying SAP jobs that are available.
Look at most of the job announcements for SAP .... almost all employers want someone who has been through at least one full company implementation. In other words, someone with some experience.
Get the certification, which is expensive, and then be prepared to work your was up in the SAP community.
Best of luck to you!

thanks bennettsa..
eleven years?.. thats awesome.
how about prospect in the future for SAP?,which module do you choose,
if you dont have any skills in a focus area, like finance, HR or smething..
and you dont wanna be a programmer 'forever'.. what should i do..
take ABAP first and then ERP module?.. any suggestion?..
in many vacancies.. as SAP consultant, needs minimals 1 full cycles.. what is that means?.. is an project or something else?..
Nice to know you bennettsa..

There are several ways to go into SAP. One is as an ABAP programmer. Although I am a programmer in other languages, I am not a ABAP programmer, and never intend to be. A lot of ABAP is out-sourced to what we call "ABAP factories", which do nothing but write code for special modifications to the basic SAP program. ABAP is a good field and pays well, but it isn't for me.
I work as a functional consultant in the SD module (sales and distribution). I travel to a customer's site, evaluate their needs, and then configure SAP to do what they want in the SD module. After configuration, I write training manuals on how to use the module, and then train the company's "power users" how to use the module. They then train the company's other users in the use of SAP.
As to which module you should choose, that's up to you and depends on what you like to do. The most sought after and probably the highest paying area is HR (human resources). Numerous companies are looking for consultants in this area.
A "full cycle" is where the customer purchases SAP, configures or has it configured to meet their needs, and goes live using SAP as their business software. This process can take from six months to several years. The time frame depends on the company and what they want to do with SAP.
My advice is to look closely at all of the modules and pick one or more that you are interested in, and then go for it. Once you have learned the first module(s), you can always pick up other modules.
Good luck!

viewed, do you have attened the training? How do you feel about it? I took the cause and examination two year ago. And I got the certificate. But I hard got interviews and got none offer. Just because I had no experience. I have IT project experience, and accountant certificate, but I can't have a sap job. So disappointing.
Any way, good luck!

hello xingxingsky,
perhaps because , there a lot of SAP course..
and the cost of course are more more cheap than formal SAPcourse..
so, to make interest people, they provide a distribute social..even they only have 1 network.
but i think, after a couple years of contract.. we have to look for a job by myself...
btw, we already have a experience of SAP course for our curriculum vitae..

Wow, people in your country are so lucky! In China, even if you complete the course and get the certificate, you still have no opportunity to be distributed to the relevent companies. They only say if you attend the training, you'll have chance. But they don't provide any chance...
