Congratulations on getting a Visa to Canada. How long is your visa for and are you planning this trip to be a working holiday or maybe spend your time as a tourist? Do you have a particular place or places I mind to see while you are in Canada or are you hoping to see a lot of the country? It is winter in Canada and in some places the weather gets very cold, so it would not appeal to me to be visiting there are this time of the year. I do not like it really hot but somehow manage to survive our Australian summers but doubt I could be comfortable in the freezing snow and sleet that they sometimes experience there in Canada. Maybe you will be able to keep the members updated during your travels and we could become “arm chair travellers” seeing Canada through your eyes. In the past I have found that someone who visit’s a country actually sees more than the locals and that is probably what is there every day, we seldom take notice of it. However a visitor/tourist is experiencing these things for the first time and so wants to get in as much as they possibly can. One of my nephews had a working holiday in Canada some years ago. He worked in Calgary and a it was at the right time of the year, he was able to go to the Calgary Stampede which he really enjoyed. He also worked somewhere in or close to the Rocky Mountains but I am not sure just where. Other stints working in Banff and Edmonton as well and then when he went back again, he was sponsored by an employer for a year and so worked way up north in the gas fields. He said the work was very hard and long hours as well but basically for every day they worked they got half a day off and from memory for every 2 weeks he worked he got a week off. The money was excellent but he also said that when they got back into a town, they had to be careful of the money they earned could soon be used. He did say that it was very cold and basically that is why he decided to return to Australia after that year. Good luck tonytt and I hope that you have a wonderful time in Canada.

Congratulations!I want to travel someday also but as of now I have no enough money to cover the expenses. Beside, processing of visa in the Philippines is very difficult you need enough time, energy and money to get one. Based on what I read from the Canadian website you have to understand carefully the guidelines of travelling to Canada, I am not sure if you are migrating there for good or just visiting, but if you are migrating I think there's a seminar to be attended by you in the embassy or something like that.
