A sense of purpose is the best driving force to live.. WHEN YOU HAVE A REASON TO LIVE, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A REASON TO QUIT! Agree?

I couldn't agree with you more. My husband had to stop working several years ago following a triple bypass and he was very unhappy because he had nothing other than his business to fall back on. He had been a general contractor so his days had been long and busy for 30 years. He's spent the last couple of years buying, building and selling motorcycles...mostly on Ebay...but working from home, out of his garage was a pretty solitary lifestyle. Recently we made the decision to take a risk and open our own retail & custom motorcycle store. Since the day he got the keys to the building, my husband has eagerly gotten up in the morning with goals and plans in mind and he is quite happy. So, even if the store loses money, he's happy doing what he likes and has a purpose now.

Hi royce. Yes I agree with you. All of us need a reason to live because without this the life becomes a weighty bunch to carry. A reason to live is what makes we wake up every morning, makes we smile, makes we try again. Without this what remain?
Have a nice day plenty of reasons to live LOL.

Yes, I completely agree. I have a friend that is going through chemo right now. She's had her ups and downs. Those roller coaster of emotions. She wants to fight, then she cries, she's about given up and then she gets madder than all get out.
I know she's going to keep doing this. This is a hard time for her, but I also know when she's low, we talk and bring her back around to her priority. I think she just needs support and be reminded about all the good things in her life.
She finds her REASON and then the next few days are great for her. She's not as sick and she can see the positive.
I think walking with her through all this has opened my eyes a lot to the meaning and the purpose to why we're all here. When we feel we have a purpose, then we'll continue to fight to keep on living.
