please do not read.
this article is a documentation of a very sensitive matter-a matter of which logical people may find very illogical. so i dare you: Do not read.
I said do not read.
However, due to an unexplainable phenomenon, the reader-you-has persisted to do so. And due to the inevitable circumtances and the author's unfaltering belief that you would, she has decided to continue with the article, in hope for an insighful respice, anyway.
Why do people sin? It is a very illogical questiuon in itself, you might say. Why, of course, we are human and it is just but human to err. And due to physical, emotional and intellectual incapibility, man has proven himself weak and is, without any doubt, vulnerable to sin.
Yes, and without any uncertainty, we are sinful.
But what is sin, anyway?
sin is a trespass-an offense against the will of God and the covenant man have had with Him. It is a transgression or a violation of the moral law. In short, it is against goodness and God Himself (that is if you believe.)
We sin, first of all, because we are imperfect. We have Innumerable flaws. And as I've said earlier, we are weak and are very vulnerable to giving in to temptations.
But do not be confused with sin and temptation. Being tempted is not sinful unless you give in. it is very attractive and alluring to one's eyes.It may send people unexplainable pleasure and unconceivable comfort.
However, behind these blissful sensations, temptation is very malicious and destructive to a spiritual growth. it is fiendish enough to cause one misery, trepidation, and suffering.
Now STOP READING. The sentence this particular gruoupo of words has followed is being followed by a sentence irrelevant and immaterial topic.
EVERYTING WE DO IS A DECISION. WE SIN BECAUSE WE HAVE DECIDED TO SIN.
See? thats the point. People do what they want, because they have decided to do it. i told you to stop, you didnt. That is because you have decided not to. Same goes with sin. We sin because we decided to sin and give in to temptation.
Remember, everything we do is a decision. We sin because we decided to sin. We become happy when we want to or even die if we willed.
You know, even Jesus himself was tempted (by demon himself), but He never gave in. That is because he did not want to. And of course because, sin is evil.
Temptations are everywhere. it wyould then be very hard to resist it. Why resist it, when it can make your life a whole lot easier and can even make you feel high and undesirable pleasure?
you can always have a free ride, I mean,c an always ride the jeepney without paying, or perhaps you might want to have a one-night stand with the most gorgeous hunk or lady in town, you can also kill the dammed moron who insulted you for having such a short..err.. limb.. but why wyould you, right? Those things are sinful.
That might lead you then to a dire conclusion: Why would then God created sin?
No, God did not create sin.He created man and nature, and all else that is beautiful. but not sin.
Our role now is to resist that dire thing we call temptation. Yes, it is difficult but then, it is possible.
"But hell, were no saints", you might remark. We aren't. We aren't saved yet from hell eihter. Anyeay, to sin is an individual's personal choice. Whether you are going to indulge in such a very outwardly beautiful thing or try to resist temptation is your choice. Your decision.
You feel like trying all the vices in town? Or perhaps lay with a many men or women? Go ahead. Sin. It's your soul on the lease anyway.
Man was given free will so he could choose. He was given the right to live, and for a reason I cannot comprehend myself, was given a chance to choose from good and bad. And isn't he so lucky?
anyway, aren't we going to use that free will to do good instead of doing bad?
Decide it's yourself. Remember, it is just a matter of decision.

you have a very long discussion there. i am sorry, i wasn't able to read it all. and i hope you don't mind. i will just answer your question now. WHy do people sin?.. it is because we inherited that fact from the very first parents we had. and after they sinned, sin came and enter the world.. and it cannot be stop.. now, every human being, big or small sins.. there is no other option to it.. but sin can only be stop when we have God on our side. well, we could never be perfect, but at least we will be forgiven. the sacrifice of JESUS on the cross says it all. HE gave His life for all of us.. that even though we sinned, HE will forgive us...

What else would I say? You said it all. I guess the bottom line of this is, no matter what we do, we're not perfect human, subject to be tempted and we can't say I can stand all kind of temptations...the only difference is if the sin you committed is INTENTIONALLY and UN-INTENTIONALLY. Of course a bigger punishment for those who did it intentionally and lesser or considerable to those sin done un-intentionally.
