How do you handle when your child is doing his/her tantrums?

i try not to pay attention to her...i think about putting her in time out but havent had the heart to do it yet...but everyone in my family says shes already spoiled so its too late to put her in time out..but i dont think so i think shes still learning so why not.

I give my son on option that goes like this:
"Are you done?"
"NO? Okay, well when you're done, you can come see me."
And I walk away. Period. Every Time.
My little one is almost 3 1/2 and I don't put up with him being a brat. I allow him to tantrum if he wants or needs to, but he does it alone. He's normally very well behaved, but when he stretches his wings and wants to act out, he's shown immediately that I don't like it and I don't want to be with him if he's going to act like that.

Use reverse psychology and make them keep it up. That worked on me. I remember as a kid I was throwing my fists in the floor and REALLY getting worked up. My dad didn't let me stop, never did it again.
