I swear I don't mean to do it but I'm constantly loosing my keys..i set them down i drop them...the worst though is...I set my ignition key on the hood of my car while i plugged the block heater in the other day and my husky decided he should EAT the key. Called the vet he said gave him laxatives..however i swear he pooped it out somewhere i cant find on purpose. I';m sure it doesnt help that the snow outside is up to my butt and you cant see where he pooped. I'll be ordering a new key for my car pretty quick. Then today i dropped the only other car key i have in the snow...down on my hands and knees in the wet cold snow patting the ground trying to find them - lucky i did or my car wouldnt be running til the snow melts! Do they have beepers for keys? or leashes? Do you lose your keys often?

I bought my fiance a key finder for his birthday because I was sick of listening to him storm through the house every morning in search of his keys. For whatever reason he just cannot grasp the bowl system (you come in the door, put your keys in the bowl!). It was the kind that beeps when you clap. The only problem was that is also beeped when something made a semi loud bang, when you laughed too loud or when the phone rang. Needless to say it only made it about a week before the batteries came out and the thing went it the trash!

I've dropped mine through the deck before - luckily i can crawl under without having to dismantle the boards however it always seems like under the deck is dank and icky.

Hello, saundyl. At first, I thought this was a joke. I could swear that I read that your hubby had eaten the keys, instead of your husky. After I read it correctly, I have to say that you'd better give it up on finding them. Well, I don't lose keys too often. But I already did. Usually, not by dropping. But yes by forgetting it somewhere. You know, you go to a place, you put your key in the table, and you leave. You were looking the key all the time, but you left it behind. Or when you get on the bus, and, in the middle of the crowd, your keys slip and you can't hear it. Gone. I do not use leashes nor anything. But I do not lose the anymore. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Hey saundyl! Your dog ate your car key! That isn't good! I am always losing things so I put a rack up right next to my door so that I would be forced to put my keys on it the minute I come into the apartment! If I put them down anywhere else I will lose them! I have also put them on noisy key chains with alot of charms so that it makes them easier to find! I also put them on a leash sometimes too! I also have 3 sets of house keys just in case! I think you should put you car keys on a better key chain so that if you do drop them in the snow you will be able to find them easier! I just put alot of key chains together so that it makes them easier to find! It really does work!

I found the key tonight - got home and its been melting its all chewed up but it wasnt in poop so he just chewed it. (I'm sooo glad!) My ignition key is separate because i have to leave the car run when its so cold so its ok to drive - i'm told its hard on it to drive it cold. And i have to lock the door somehow so it doesnt drive off without me! I have five sets of house keys stashed all over my yard because my door auto locks and if i pull it shut behind me i end up locked out. I learnt my lesson when i locked myself out in -20c weather and had to use a hammer to pry a window open while standing a pile of stuff...the doghouse 2 squarebales a stool i mooched from dad's quansit and a wooden crate. It was very precarious however it was going head first through the window onto the bed that scared me the most!

I believe that I have heard of some form of beeper for keys but am not totally sure. I am not one to lose my keys but my husband sure is. We can look all over the house before finding them. There have been many times as well that he will leave them in the ignition of the car. I hope that you have better luck with your keys now.
