In my localities the mosquito nuisance is a major concern. With the encroaching fear of malaria, filaria & all the diseases We have to be very careful here about them, especially at night. Previously we used mosquito repellant coils, but they had the disadvantage of a very hard smoke surrounding. Now I am using the mosquito liquidator repellant, which works good. Do you face any such problem in your locality. How do you tackle them?

We use the mosquito repellent liquidator. Sometimes we use the repellent mats too. We don't use those coils, as they are very much allergic. Thanks to the local municipality, for the past few we don't have this problem. Those people were just spreading the repellent gas in our area. It is always better to use a mosquito net instead of these allergic repellents.

Of course. i too find coils to be allergic as for their bad smell & huge fumes. I would rather go for mosquito net as i consider them to be more efficient. Thank you for responding to my discussion. have a nice time at mylot.

Hello,Panda! In my city mosquitoes are found in large scale.Despite all out efforts of the Municipal corporation the problem yet remain unaddressed. So some people use the mosquito net at the time of sleeping. But they are causing problem at the time of watching TV or reading,or working with the computer. So I am using the mosquito repellent coils or liquids to save from the mosquitoes.thanx.

hey I am from your city & am well aware of the nuisance. That is so trouble some evening that I they really irritate the hell outta me. Even the repellants fail to show some effects. The DDT spray be municipality doesn't show much effect. I think considering mosquito net is a good habit. Thank you. have a nice time at mylot.

I use Avon Skin So Soft mosquito spray. It works great and doesn't have that funky odor that some of them have. Plus it is perfectly safe for your skin. We do not have a serious mosquito problem but they are still a nuisance. Spray it on before going outdoors and it works for hours. The only bad thing is it isn't very water repllant. So if your going to be swimiing it may not be your best choise.

I never faced this problem until I went to the Philippines. There are a lot more mosquitoes there than there is where i live. however, i just used some repellents and stayed indoor most of the time. stay safe!

we do not have much of the mosquitoes but i am prone to mosquitoes. they said coz i like sweets, my blood is sweet also which mosquitoes love. we have this ointment or lotion to stop them from biting you. so thats what we do. also we screen our place for them not to enter.

Here in Mexico mosquitos are also a problem. When I lived in the US, mosquitos never bothered me, they would fly right past me and bite my husband. Here, they love me! If there is one within 10 miles it finds me! We try to do everything we can not to have them around, no standing water in our yard, but then we can't control what our neighbors do. I use coils, I light them in the bedroom about an half and hour before I go to bed. I know alot of people don't like them but to me they just smell like incense. I spray my house about once a day as I'm getting ready to leave or go outside. And I use the Off on my legs and ankles when I'm out working in the garden. Still......I get bitten. I have heard that there are plants that repel them, does anyone know anything about that?

hi uditpanda, my dear friend, mosquitoes are a big problem, and in hot and humid cimate they are in abundance. you an find them anywhere you go. our place is hot and humid so there are lot of mosquitoes. we use mosquito spray, repellent creams, mats liquidator but not the coils. they are too smoky. cant take that smoke in. it is like choking cant breathe, andif one cant breathe, so whats the fun. so nnow we dont us it and we are having small baby also , so we totally avoid it.
