are you sensitive about your age?

Do you care if people make age jokes, Im not talking about actual nasty comments that are designed to offend, but lighthearted jokes and ribbing? Do you mind people asking how old/young you are. The place where I used to work, the youngest person there apart from me was 34, people would talk about "old time" thing and when I asked what they meant, they would groan and say "you dont even know youre born!" which, I do. It sort of bugged me, but not that much. There are some people that I joke with about them beng old, they know i dont mean it, they are fitter and smarter than me and they know it and i know it! but some people get really annoyed, are you one of em?

I used to be. I never used to care about getting older. It didn't really bother me. Then I got my hair streaked. The streaks were supposed to be a light blonde. They looked gray!! Everyone had to comment on my hair going gray! I kept it to myself, but I really got tired of that comment. I was very self-conscious until it finally grew out. My hair is normally brownish blonde (yes, I do have blonde moments, before you even ask)and I wanted to spice it up. Never, ever again. I know I have gray hairs now, but it just looks like my hair has sparkles in it. I can live with that. Now I'm just sensitive about how many things are going wrong thanks to my age!

No Sirree Bob......... I'm glad to have lived to be the age that I am. If a person can make it past thirty these days, they are doing really good..... I think the average life span for a man is around seventy and for a woman it's a little bit longer. Each year that I live I thank my creator b/c I know it didn't have to be this way. Thank you Lord!

Nope I am thirty seven years old. Age doesn't matter to me. Not really not when it comes to being friends with someone. If I happen to be in the situation as you were. I think I would of said something smart back. Or ask them another question.

I have never minded anyone asking my age. I have never been one to become offended by any type of age comment. It is a state of mind how " old " you really are .Years are just what they measure it by but many things in life can let others know how old you are such as knowledge and experience with things. If you think about it " old " could be a real compliment to many , I know at times it is for me.

No, I don't get annoyed. I am 52 and I love my life and I can't say I enjoy getting older but oh well, it is a fact of life. Worrying about it or denying it is only going to add more wrinkles and gray hairs and lets not even mention deteriorate the quality of what is left of life? A sense of humour is good and at least keeps the spirit young. I get mixed reviews on this one. Some think I'm much younger than I am & others do not. I look in the mirror and know every wrinkle and gray hair. I am always amazed when I get asked out by a much younger guy......really amazed. I'm old...you can pick on me for it. I'll just pick on you back for being young and clueless. deal?

you wanna know something that sucks? I have grey hair and I am only 24! I wouldnt pick on you, just make a lighthearted joke.

Not really even though I hate saying it myself. It is just a fact of life you know. We should all be happy. My parents say they love being older.

Youre right, its a fact of life, nothing you can do about it!
