I believe that all sister should be close. But unfortunately not all sister get along. I have three sister and not all of them and I get along. We dont really have big fight, but we dont see eye to eye. My smaller sister and I get along very well, because she is more a people person and we reason alot. We understand each other. I know we are different people with have different ideas. What we have to do is respect each other opinion.

I am not terribly close with my siblings. I believe this is because of the age difference. I am the youngest. My next is a brother is 4.5 years older than me, next is a sister 9.5 years older than me, then another sister 14 years older than me, and my dearly departed brother was 15 years older than me. He got married and moved out when I was 6 so I didn't even grow up with him. I pretty much grew up alone and when my siblings came to visit with their families I was just wallpaper. Things are different now that I am a little closer to them in life experiences (married with kids) but they always look at me as the baby and treat me that way. I love it when we are together at family gatherings but if had to go years without seeing one or all of them, I wouldn't notice it. Sad, but true.

Sisters and/or brothers should be close. After all, they are family and family should stick together. But sadly this isn't always the case. As it is, my own sister and I aren't close at all. This is more her choice than mine. We got along okay when we were little, before I started the same school as her (kindergarten not included as it was in a separate part of the school), but once I started 1st grade it all went downhill from there and only got worse the older we got. By the time we got to high school she basically shunned me out of her life. And no, I am not exaggerating. After my sister and our mom had a falling out I didn't see my sister again for 10 years. I had invited her to my kids birthday party and surprisingly she came. Why was I so surprised? Because I had invited her before, but she never came. Well anyway, I guess you could say I was excited to see her, she is my sister, after all. But after I said hi to her she snubbed me and didn't even so much as say hello back. So that was the end of me talking to her. That was almost 8 years ago. I haven't seen or spoken to her since.

I only have one sister and we are very close. We don't always agree but respect each others opinions. We are only 13 months apart so I don't know if the closeness in age has anything to do with it. While we were growing up we shared a lot of the same friends. In fact, I would say my sister is one of my best friends.

I get along very well with my sister... in fact I would not hesitate to say she is my best friend. I know a lot of sisters who don't get along though. While in the idle world, all sisters would get along, sadly this is not the case. Some sisters do not see eye to eye.
