Do you rush to the H&R Block, or another income tax business?
Do you file it paper form yourself? Do you hire someone you know who is certified? Do you use the free file online?
And while we are at it...why are some people in such a rush to pay almost four hundred dollars to get the money back in a short period?

We use www.taxslayer.com to file our taxes as soon as my husband gets his W2. Florida has no state tax, so all we have to worry about is federal. Tax Slayer doesn't charge active duty military personnel to e-file, so we file our taxes that way every year, and we get our return about two weeks later - which is fine with us. We certainly don't want to pay all that money just to get it a few days faster!

Tax Act. We travel so finding a place that we feel represents us is too hard.

For a long time we used a tax service here in town. Than about five years ago my son and husband and I were talking and my son said he does his own taxes. There is software that he buys every year and he uses that to figure out his taxes. So my husband and I decided that we would have him do our taxes and pay him what we were paying the tax service. We also buy the software and he uses it for his taxes and ours to figure it out. He has a family and to my husband and I that is a good way to help him out.
