Everyone has them at one point or another, regardless of what they are about.
Some people read about what dreams mean, some realize that dreams are an escape and are related to what happens to us when we're awake. Some people don't even remember their dreams.
Me I have one recurring dream for a long time. It has always to do with my house - my friends here know that I really am running out of space and dream about a bigger space - and the twist is that in those dreams there is always this space in my house that was never used but it's there. A room, more than one room, a whole part of a house. More, I never seem or feel really surprised to find it. It's like I always knew it was there.
Last night it was a closet and another small room of my daughter's bedroom. Heck I wish it was true, but it was just a dream LOL. RIght when Iwas planning what I could do with that space and when I was already moving some storage boxes into the closet hehehehe
Do you have recurring dreams? Did you ever tried to find out what they could mean?

I do not have a recurring dream. I hardly ever remember my dreams, either. Just portions, once in awhile. I have had dreams in the past that seemed so real that I felt disoriented upon waking up.A dream like that makes me feel rather off all day. I hope that in real life you find that magic space in your home.

I usually remember my dreams. I dream in color too. Some people dream only in black and white .
I really hope that the space thing will become a reality. We are working on that now that my inlaws showed some interest in selling us their part of the house. But ... baby steps... with them it's good to go slow and not believe anything until it's done :)

i have had some recurring dreams in the past. i kept dreaming how my presentation would go. i could vision the whole class, instructor, and my power point. the thing is, it wasn't from my eyes. it was like i was looking at myself. what i took from it is that i should be aware of what i do during my presentation. i kept doing things with my fingers and looking down when i talked. so when it was actually time to do my presentation, i did my best to always look at my classmates and not fiddle with my fingers. if you end up dreaming it again, hopefully you'll be able to explore more into it and find something useful :). happy dreaming!

That's a good example of how dreams can help us in a real situation.
I have been thinking about this dream. I know that one of the reasons why I have it has to do with the fact that I do need more space and really wish I could have it. But I feel that there is more to it.

I had to comment on your post. Not the dream part, but the being aware of what your appearance gives off. The fiddling can be looked at as nervousness. The hand movements in the "talking with your hands" look is entirely another perspective. Good point brought to the table. Thanks

I have dreams about getting all sorts of cool stuff. Buying everything I need for the house, clothing that we need. Pretty much the materialistic things. Then I wake up with a small sence of sadness because even before I get up fully, I know it was just a dream. All that stuff is not here. But it is then that I look around at what I do have and so I really am rich. Its in my heart. With the love that I feel for my family and others around. And then I have another one where I am running as fast as I can. Trying to even fly at times. But one very very strange thing I discovered as I was reading the other reponses. The one where the girl would have re-accuring "daymare" if you will. That the car was moving and she knew it was a dream, but it felt so real. That is so weird. I pictured myself as she re-counted her memory.
I do wonder what some of my dreams mean, or nightmares even. But I also know that I will understand when, and if I am supposed to. Sometimes it might just be a bridge to another experiance. Or it might be simply ment for the teaching of another.

Hi, I was wondering, did you have less than other children?
Feeling neglected at times.
Feeling ashamed (less) because you did not have what the rest had?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
The dream you were explaining got me thinking this way.
But, I could be wrong too.
I probably am, I was just wondering.
Thank-you.
Take care.

Well I feel dreams are the creations of our subconsious. Whatever we keep thinking does come in our dreams. At times I have observed that whole day if I was thinking on some problem then in dreams I got the solution and at times I become amazed at the working of subconscious mind, which does his maths and arrives at a conclusion.

Curious that you mention dreams being an escape as that is not how I view them at all. For me there are several distinct types of dreams. The recurring ones for me are usually prophetic. I can usually tell those from the others even as the occur, or should I say, reoccur. But sometimes it is many years between the time I have a particular dream and the time that it emerges as reality. Others are, I think, the mind's way of trying to process the information taken in during the day, particularly by resolving apparent inconsistencies that the waking mind cannot deal with and pushes aside. This is one reason I consider it extremely important to resolve as many of the day's issues as possible before drifting off to sleep, and to avoid having arguments before bedtime--you know the expression "Never go to bed mad!" I would prefer to avoid having arguments altogether, but in the outside world that is not always possible. At home it is possible though, and especially at bedtime.

Very good point on resolving the daily issues before you lay your head to rest. In my Self magazine I just read yesterday, titles "Happinessflash". Right there in the top on the page. Sweeter dreams, 34% of woman have recently had a nightmare compared to 19% men. Conclusion was that you are more likely to ponder concerns at bedtime, they suggest to write down all worries as well as potential solutions.
researched and concluded by:
University of the West England in Bristol.

Very true Drannhh, it would make you feel very unsafe to have those worries over you. I had that unfortunate experiance as a child and as a result I dont remember a huge part of my childhood. But I always remember the nightmares.

If living in constant fear triggers nightmares, that could be a reason for women to have more of them, because about 5 times as many women are victims of violence at the hands of their own "domestic partners" than men, I think, of of adult crime victims I think it is somewhere near 60% women to 40% in general and in domestic situations more like 85% to 15%, which is quite high. Not being safe in her own home and in her own bed would make it difficult for a woman not to go to sleep with unresolved conflicts.

Yes, I have had them on and off through my whole life.
What you are dreaming, sounds a lot like my dreams.
I dream I am in my house, (does not look like my house, but it is mine, hahah!) and I have so many rooms to choose from. Everything is so big and has so much space.
I believe it has to do with better times.
You are entering a future that has a lot to offer you.
I believe it is very positive.
You will always have what you need.
I could be wrong, but that is how I describe it.
I used to have a dream book, years ago.
At first it was fun to see my dreams, then it was as if the book turned on me.
I started hearing voices in the house and feeling like there was something there.
I prayed and prayed for it to leave.
In the middle of the night I find I am out of bed with the dream book in my hands. Then I new, it was time to get rid of it. I threw it in the garbage, tore it up in pieces and brought the garbage outside.
The voices were gone. And I realized it is not always right to want to now everything.
Believe me, you yourself can feel what a dream means.
Only you can understand this.
There are others that can help, but always rely on your own instinct first.
Take care.

Sorry I went off topic, but I felt very led to reply to this now. So I wouldnt get off track and not post on it at all.

I also believe that this dream has to do with me wish to have more space. It's a priority for us since I need one extra bedroom. SO it's on my mind a lot and will reflect on my dreams. That with the fact that there might be a chance that my dream will come true if we are able to buy my in laws part of the house, sure is good ground for this dream to come back.
Your own interpretation of this dream seems like it might be quite accurate, or at least that there is a possibility that future will - finally ! :) - bring something more positive.
thanks for your input

I have enough space in my house. However, I have recurring dreams about secret rooms, sort of panic rooms. It is about two rooms fully furnished with secret entry.
Those rooms are with antique furniture and very cozy feeling.
I have been in those rooms at least 5 times in my dreams.
Like I said, i have more than enough rooms in my house, but maybe I am dreaming about my future place...who knows...

I do have dreams and some of my dreams do occur again and again. I think dreams are unwanted wishes that happens in our life, which had not been fulfilled. Sometimes I dream I am living in a beautiful castle near a big lake with lots of grass ground and I dream I am traveling in a horse around. I dream I have a big library of my own awith lots of books around and I spend time reading it.

I used to have a couple of recurring dream for a long time when I was a kid. Sometimes they were a little different, but the dream was always that I was in the car with my mom and she would drive somewhere and leave me in the car. (The location would be different in the dreams, sometimes.) After she left, the car would always lock itself, start itself, and start driving. I couldn't control the car and I couldn't get out. I think the reason I had the dream was probably because I didn't feel like I had any control over my life or that I was afraid of not being in control. I also would frequently have a dream that someone was chasing me and I was running, but I couldn't make my legs run fast enough. I would be trying to run fast, but I couldn't. I think the causes of this dream are similar to the other one. Eventually, I just stopped having them.

there was only one time in my life when i had recurring dreams every night for about 2 weeks.
it always took place at my house and i always heard a noise from the kitchen at night so i went downstairs to the kitchen and when i got there, it was dark and i could see a shadow of somehow making the motion of killing someone and i never saw the other person because they were hidden by the counter.
..that was the whole dream
at this point in my life, my grandfather was sick with Hep C (he was in remission from cancer and then got a blood transfusion that was tainted blood with Hep C..)
and after my grandfather had passed away i never had that dream again...this was about 10 years ago.
