Well, don't you like your coat? Its a suit right. No, I never shop for myself. My mother or father goes to the market to buy stuffs for me. I have a fear that the shopkeeper would fool me and take more money for the stuffs I buy.

my wife just bought herself a new red coat and i dun like it or rather it is not worth the kind of money to pay for it. The shopping mall was having some sales and the coat had a discount of 20% and it was after a quarrel with her so she decided to go shopping to vent her anger using my money. The coat costed US$500 after a discount and i was loss for words when i saw it especially when i told her about current economy climate and to control our spending and here she went out and blow up half a K on some coat which to me is normal looking. She liked it at first and after a while after hearing my opinions, also regretted buying it cos she saw some other better ones which cost much less

sara007, Buying something that I do not like, will be the last thing on my mind. So, no I would not even give it a second thought if I do not like or does not fit me. I mean why should I? It is simply a waste of hard earned money, besides I can see that amount being spent on more worthy causes like a suit I like, a treat for my wife, or simply save it in the bank for something else. Times are getting tough and harsh out there, my friend. So, do save up if you can - for you never know what the future holds. Remember, Money, if it does not bring you happiness, will at least help you be miserable in comfort. Think about it and have a nice day.

sara007, I see your problem here in 2 aspects. First, being that you are a compulsive buyer. Believe me, I had been in your shoes before and I just would like to give you a tip or 2 here and I hope that it will really help you. The next time before you walk out of your house or office to do shopping plan and tell yourself that the only day you will buy anything will be on Sunday or your off day. On your other days, it will be purely window shopping. Now, do not belittle this window shopping thing, it will be a good time to do your homework. Have your notebook ready or you may want to record your info on your cellphone. Take pics and note the prices. Visit as many departmental stores, fashion house and boutiques and enquire. Hey! The money is in your pocket and you are entitled to try out as many as you want. No one is going to stop you. If they do, I am sure you would not want to spend even 10 cents with them, walk out and visit another. I do believe that this process will let you have a better feel and choice awareness. Also, pick the best bargains. The Sunday shopping is because it is usually the day where things will more likely to be on offer than other days. The rest of the days when the shops are not having crowds will let you have the time and luxury to try everything to your fancy. Delaying in your buying habits also work in a sense that prices will drop than increase for most of these things like clothings, accessories and etc.. The other aspect will be your sense of wealth management. I see that this will be your future problem where at the end of the day you will find that you have not done enough to save for a raining day. Let's be frank here, can all the clothings, handbags and accessories that you bought and is occupying your living space able to help you when you need money? Besides, these things occupy space and when you do not need or wear them they will just diminish, and become a worthless pile. Also, it would be wise to ask yourself repeatedly - Is it necessary? Do you really need it? and Do you have a place for it? Can your money be better spent on something else? How about a nice spa session with nice facial treatment and hair dressing? Most of all, can you save this money yourself than to spend it? I hope that the above will be of help to you. Remember the road ahead is long and you just cannot know what will happen in the near future. So another cents saved will make another dollar. Take care.
