Do you get yourself a residence certificate or cedula?

How often do you get one? And for what purpose? If so, do you rightfully declare your income? I have not gotten myself for years, but since last year, it was required by our company for certain official documents that we should have our own cedula or residence certificate. So i was forced to get one for myself. How about you?

Thanks for the reply Tamara. I just have one mine last weekend. There's a public service in a shopping mall that you can get it from there and you do not have to go to our city hall just to get one. Regards, =)

As i have replied to spoiledbrat, i already got mine for a declared income. But my officemates were able to get BLANK cedula, wherein they're the ones to put the figures, income, numbers in the cedule and presto! that's it. its disappointing that these things still happen today, despite the stricter implementation by government. =)

Residence certificate is used for income tax purposes. I think you are required to put it there when filing it. So I guess that is why your company required you to have one. We always have this annually since we also used this to be able to get loans for our savings and loan association. When we apply we are required to submit it as part of their requirement too.

Hello rsa101, yes we cannot also apply for loans from our company if we do not have a sedula. SOmetimes friends from other companies i heard, would just invent the rest. cert. number and the place and date of issuance and they can already apply for a loan. But our company is strict, they require as to submit a photocopy. =)

In our office we are required and I guess since it cost less to get one we don't resort to faking it anymore just to get a loan.

its just Php5 to 15 pesos. very easy to get. its needed for some documentation. & if you get one for 2009. you can use it for the whole year. at the price of just php5 to 15 pesos so we should get one. of course just declare the lowest income bracket in the form. its no big deal. it will be used for documentation purpose only & just an income generating way of the government.

I just got one last friday... i was at the City Hall to take care of something... and while waiting for my documents to come out... i thought why not just get my residence certificate... just in case i would need it anytime this year... I did not declare my actual gross income... but did pay almost 100 php... but in the past... i would always declare my real income... since we use it for our income tax statement...

thanks for the reply... wow, they can actually detect wherever you are? that's great! ours still require this old cedula/ residence certificate. we have to declare our income and the payment we have to pay depends on how much we declare as our income.
