Was there a manipulation happened when Eve gave the fruit to Adam?

Genesis 3:6 says:
"When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it."
I find it odd that so many people overlook the fact that the Bible says Adam was with her at this time. It's possible that Adam was there while serpent tempted her, and was tempted in the same way she was. He gave in as soon as she did.
