gmail is better than yahoo mail

Yep I find g-mail better too. I do not get as much spam mail on it. But I still need to use my yahoo account because most of my friends and family uses it. I guess yahoo can be very slow because it can be very congested now since it has been around for a long time already. It is always better to maintain another account so you won't be out of touch when the other gives you problems. Stay cyber happy.

Overall i prefer Gmail over all other webmail applications because performance (speed) is consistently fast, and emails can be tagged making search much more effective. They also offer more storage and other features, and it’s free. However, Yahoo and Live Hotmail offer more mainstream Outlook-like user interfaces (although Live Hotmail does not allow you to access other email accounts from their application), whereas Gmail takes some time to get used to. If you are looking for speed and tagging is important, Gmail is for you. If you are looking for the closest thing to Outlook online, go with Yahoo Mail.

i have accounts in both of them though i never tried to compare i felt gmail to be more flexible and comfortable than yahoo with its simple, easy to use and responsive interface. yahoo appears to be very sluggish at times and i dont like the new verion of yahoomail which has integrated messenger. gmail doesn't allow me to send .exe files as attachments, i hate this security feature as I had to login to my yahoo account only for this purpose evn while browsing on my mobile, gmail opens easily without any problems, whereas yahoo is detected by my network provider(AIRTEL INDIA) and I am suppose to subscribe (Rs 30 per month) to login to my account.

Hello harjotdoad! I have been using yahoo mail for a long years and I like it. I have a gmail account but I never used it because I am contented with yahoomail aside from most of my friend knew my yahoomail account.

yes i also think that gmail interface is more simpler than yahoo.it is good to be present at gmail than at yahoo.i also love gtalk .

ya i too have both the accounts but i usually use yahoo a/c more, ya it;s true that gmail have more features than yahoo, and it's more better than yahoo.

i have been using Yahoo mail for quite a long time. so i am familiar with Yahoo mail. Like you, i also have my account in Gmail but i have never tried spam filter.May be you are right. But for the time being i'll have to continue with Yahoo mail coz all my contacts are with Yahaoo mail.
