I knew my husband is a smoker long time ago before we're really into each other. I thought I would be fine to deal with smokers but I found out I really cannot... It really bugs me. He told me thousand times that he's quitting and even destroyed the cigarettes in front of me saying I won't smoke anymore blah blah blah...It is such a big lie to me. I hate it! I'm little regret marrying a "smoker" but I cannot deny the fact that I love my "husband"..

My ex husband was a smoker and I am not a smoker at all and honestly can't stand it. I thought I love my husband (at that time), but I told him that he had to brush his teeth and wash his hands before he would touch me and if he wanted to smoke he had to take it outside or else where with our son. My grandmother was a smoker she had to quit due to being on a list for a heart transplant. I know there is several things he can do to quit. I know there are patches, gum and now a prescription to help decrease cravings. My grandfather stopped my chewing gum when he craved for a cig. He has stopped smoking for I like 25 years or more. I would try to support him and try to help him to quit. I know its hard because I've seen my grandmother try to quit several times and fail. I do wish you the best of luck.

I myself am a smoker so I would have no problems with it myself.
In regards to your husband, he probably tries very hard to quit for you. I have been in his position before and it doesn't matter how much you want to give up for someone elses benefit it will just never happen.
My foster mother was a non smoker and my foster father a smoker. They got around the issue by him smoking in the garage or outside. He never smoked in the house. They have been happily married now for over 40 years. So it just goes to show love can conquer anything.
Good luck x
