No way, you've got to be kidding me. Being a Geek is not about how you look. Its
about how you behave which is usually different to most others and being completely
misunderstood by almost everyone!! You can look completely normal like the next guy
and still be called a geek. I think its based a lot on what you're into as well.
I had a friend at college. We used to share a ciggarette at interval (before meningitus)
awareness!) and she used to goobee all over the butt of it before passing it back to
me. Oh she had athsma so she shouldnt have been smoking anyway, thats why she dribbled.
We only smoked to look cool, but that was really sick! I think she behaved
like a geek but she was ok.

Being a geek is definitely not about how a person looks. It's all about the interests. I consider myself to be a HUGE geek and I am not excellent in math nor do I wear a pocket protector or was constantly picked on in high school, as the stereotype shows.
There are also different types of geeks. In high school I was a HUGE theater geek in that I was very avid in the theater arts.

Being a "geek" isn't about how a person looks, I agree. Although everyone does have their own perception of the term "geek". My younger daughter proudly calls herself a "geek" because she LOVES spending time on the computer and she is an avid writer of Harry Potter fan fiction. She thinks this makes her "geeky". I'm not fond of labels for people but she seems to use it in fun :) Oh and she's cute as a button so it's really not about looks at all LOL
