Would you sue?

It is called "The Miracle on the Hudson" after a US Air jet landed in the Hudson River and 155 passengers and crew members survived. I hear that some survivors may sue US Air. The pilot, the crew, the ferry operators, the Coast Guard, everyone that had anything to do with saving lives that day were right on the money. The birds and the plane were the losers. I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around a lawsuit on this one. Sure, file a claim for your lost luggage and get reimbursed for your airfare, but a lawsuit? Sounds ungrateful to me. You came away with your life! Thank God! How do you feel about this one?

A lawsuit doesn't mean they will win it. If they think there was something wrong with the plane or something wasn't done correctly then I think they should file a lawsuit. But, ya, there are too too many lawsuits and it does seem the officials seemed to do all they could.

Sometimes a valid lawsuits go down in flames because people get sick and tired of the dumb stuff.

I think it's just a sad indictment of life today; people just think about me, me, me, never about other people.

I feel the same way.....if they sue it's because they are total ingrates! They should be glad to be alive. If they go to court maybe the judge would let them sue the birds that flew into the engine...if that was the cause...otherwise....they should be glad to be alive!

That's a good one. Can you hear the surviving bird on the stand..."My family and I were flying south for the winter when this big jet came along and (then you hear big bird sobs)" I wonder how much anyone would get from a jury after a testimony like that?

Hi, I am not surprised. Everyone, well not everyone, seems to be suing for what ever they can get.I say be happy you lived through this.

And those people shall be called malcontents. Seems like an experience like that would be a life-changer. You might consider doing community service or something. At least for a little while.

Sue? What a bunch of inconsiderate people! The first thing I would have done was to thank the pilot for saving our lives. To sue would not even be on my mind!

Not only the pilot... the crew, the ferry operators, the coast guard, the whole nine yards.

I think it's uncool. I know we americans are sue-happy and all, but honestly... the crash was no one's fault and the all of the passengers and crew survived. I think they should be grateful and move on.

My sentiments exactly.
