I always think of the one characteristic of B-3 .That one is circulation.Proper circulation and healthy skin just seem to go hand in hand I think.A flush that is usually harmless, may occur after consuming it.If this happens a red rash my occur on the skin and a tingling sensation may be experienced.use this with caution if you are pregnant, suffering from gout, diabetes, peptic ulcers, liver disease,or glaucoma. Vitanin B-3 helps the functioning of the nervous system,in the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, and in the production of hydrochloric acid for the digestive system .Niacin improves circulation, and lowers cholestrol. It is also important in and effective in the treatment of schizopherina and other mental illnesses. you will find it in: beef, broccoli, carrots, cheese, corn meal, fish, milk, eggs, pork, potatoes, tomatoes and whole wheat.

I am a big proponent of Niacin. I actually love the flush experience you can get from niacin. A lot of vitamin manufacturers have started to market a 'no flush' version of niacin so that people are not scared away from using it. It is niacinamide that does not cause the flush. However, niacinamide also does not have the same beneficial effects on cholesterol in the body as niacin has. Fortunately, B vitamins are water soluble and will not accumulate in the body. Therefore, vitamin B toxicity is really rare - though possible.
