What interested you?

That's great! Learning to paint because there was something you were so passionate about that you wanted to learn how to paint it. I think roses are really beautiful too. Still, roses can be used to represent happiness but also to represent darkness. I've been using roses in my drawings and I usually use them for dark purposes, I also often put in a lot of thorns mixed in with the roses. It's great that something so beautiful can grow amongst something as ugly as a thorn though. I've become more interested in painting than drawing lately so I might start painting roses too soon. They look very fun to paint.. Do you draw them first then paint? I'm more of a cartoonist than a realistic painter so my style might be different to yours.

No....I don't sketch them first....I do a base of my color then start building from there....I love painting. You'll have to share some of yours with us here at mylot!

I see. So your style is much different to mine. I might try different styles one day but I'm happy with the style I currently use. I attempted another style recently and did a very bad job of it. Anywho I may share my works one day.. I just really dislike scanning/taking photos and sending photos to my computer to actually get the images on here in the first place! _
