thats one thing i noticed about the proteas in the second ODI
they have only 2 hitters down the order, morkel and boucher and thats it
middle order full of slow batsmen like duminy, kallis and mackenzie
gibbs had not fired so far
if the proteas continue to wait to take the attack to the opposition till the 43rd over, they wont be winning any more matches

Sorry,Dear friend.Australia has already lost the Odi series to S.Athe score reads 3-1 in favor of South Africa.still one match left in this series.I think The last one Australia would try to win it,to regain some pride.
Wish them best of luck.

Yes. You are right. That was really a tight finish for the second time in as many matches in this series. But I think, the Proteas are themselves to blame for, for what situation they are in. After the fall of Kallis, the Proteas lost wickets in a heap, as though they were in a hurry to level the series 1-1. The South African lost lesser wickets than the Aussies, still they could not catch up with them. Had it not been for Morkel's great knock in the first ODI, the Africans would surely have landed themselves in big, big trouble. But they could have done it otherwise, had they kept pace with the required run rate. Boucher tried his best along with Morkel, but I think, it was due to Bracken's superb bowling that the Aussies could win the second ODI.

i think australia will win the rest of the matches comfortably. I dont expect much competition from south africa in rest of the matches. The main r4eason for this is the absence of injured batsman smith. Had he been in the team i would have given south africa a chance. Also the form of the top order batsman particularly gibbs is affecting them very badly. If australia bat well and reach a comfortable score they are assured of winning .

i think right now australian cricket is going through a transition, old people are making way for the younger ones.it will take some time for them to fill up the huge shoes of their predecessors of legendery legacy.
