Do you eat until you're full?

It's not really always the most comforting thing or healthy to eat until your stomach is just too full to hold anymore food. Yet, most of us, if possible, do this anyway. I know when I lived with my dad, and we weren't doing so well financially I would eat until I was full because usually dinner would be our only meal if I did not have school. I developed a slow metabolism though, so even if I didn't a very large meal, my stomach would be able to retain the nutrients. Also, recently I became ill with a high fever that would not go down without antibiotics, and those caused loss of appetite. During this week, I could not eat solid food without vomiting it back up. I was not hungry, and just drank a lot of fluids. After I got over my sickness, I was so grateful to be able to eat food regularly again, that I feel like i overdid it. I really didn't, but I suppose I just felt like a "fatty" because I hadn't had much to eat in that past week.

I used to do that before. I only stop eating until I'm full. I have a very big appetite and a slow metabolism. And the result, I really look "healthy". And so I realize that I have to change my eating style. I have to be conscious in my food intake. Right now, I'm very mindful to the amount of food that I'm taking in. I'm having five small meals instead of three large meals.

If you want to keep your metabolism under control, then do not just eat one heavy meal, instead what you can do is spread out your food intake over the whole day. Eat smaller meals throughout the day. This way your stomach will always feel full, and you will be healthy.

Yes thank you for the advice. I used to be able to do so a little bit better when I was in high school. But, nowadays it's a bit different since I live on my own with my boyfriend. Alas, I will continue to try =]

hey,you must be doing a great job as evident from your reputation point with only 134 posts in your name. As for me I am a completely foodie. For that I have put on a few extra pounds since last few months which has made me conscious. I have therefore regulated my food intake. So these days I am keeping my stomach half empty in every session. I guess that would make me loose some weight. thank you for the post.have a nice time at mylot.

Of course not, if eat too full can cause stomach pain. And can make a lazy, because the body work hard to process the food. The head will feel hard to think, because more blood flow around the belly.
