Its said never count the calories while you eat,if you want to have the real taste of food. I have seen many people who tend to avoid a lot of things on the table in fear of consuming extra calorie, that they think will make them fat in a day.I think its over health consciousness. Are you one of them who count their calories while eating?? What is your view on this?

I follow the dictum that you have mentioned. No doubt we should be conscious about our health, but that doesn't mean our consciousness should kill the enjoyment in day to day life. Food is not only to eat,but to relish the taste while eating. If that is lost then what is the difference in animals & we humans. So I never bother about the calories neither maintain a chart on my daily calorie intake. I just take what ever i fell like, but in a controlled amount. That what makes me happy & that is the most important thing in my life...

that is a very lively thought nightmare, but not a very healthy one.I think you must be knowing the ill effects obesity & dyslipidaemia on your health. You may not count but atleast keep a watch on you food.

I never count calories when I eat a regular meal. But when I'm out and I need something to eat I tend to look at calories tables on them and try not to pick up anything with too much fat in it:) If you asked me, however, how many calories I eat a day I wouldnt have slighest idea.
I think it's good to look at what you eat as long as it doean't turn into obsession when you start to count how many calories have a potato etc.

Ummm...never counted calories before all my life and never going to before I eat. Calories does not bother me but salt and sugar does. I am quite careful about salt content in food.
