No Offense, But I Never Met A Lawyer

That I could stand. I have been hearing the jokes and crude remarks about lawyers all my life. But, only recently have I had direct dealings with them and I do not like them at all, period. The ones that I have dealt with are sneaky low down and heartless and they count on the fact that you are not an expert on the law. All you need is enough money and you can get away with just about anything. I could never fight for or support someone that I knew in my heart was guilty, I do not care how much someone paid me. Lawyers, how do you/they sleep at night?

I've had a terrible experience with a lawyer myself. I don't understand why they even exist sometimes, the 'work' that she did for me, I could have done myself.

I have had two civil trials in the last few months and in both of them, I represented myself. Lawyers make me sick to my stomach. They have no moral compass at all.

Hi Rozie dear! That is very frustrating and sad with some of the lawyers attitude towards their profession and their dealings with people. I can not deny that there is a number of lawyers who will do anything for the money and I knew a couple of them here in our area. Fortunately, I am happy that there are a few lawyers whom I knew and heard of that they will do everything in the name of justice. They help and assist poor people in seeking legal assistance and money is never their major concern. However, I do hope these kind of lawyers will increase in numbers. Take care and have a nice day! lovelots..faith210

Well, it is certainly nice to know that they are out there. Hopefully, if I ever need one again, a good one will be available for me.

I would have a hard time defending someone who I know is guilty too. I suppose some lawyers are good kind people. I once worked for an attorney, he wasn't a very nice person.

And how do they sleep when a person that they know is innocent, does time in jail or worst yet, is executed?

Well said. Lawyers are like school yard bullies thinking they can push you around because you do not know the law. Not so long ago I was involved with a project and someone was trying to bully me with their lawyer, well I read up on it and eventually sent a letter to her lawyers threatening to sue them for malicious communication and pointing out the instances of this. You know after that they shut up and I never heard a word out of them. Lawyers? Thieves and greedy bullyboys! all the best urban

Lawyers are greedy, power hungry jerks. I have very little respect for that professional. They are suppose to help people, but they help themselves more than they do anyone else.

Dear Rozie37 don't believe lawyers in this case believe they are also human being, I too have feelings like you, but for them survival they have to do it. Some lawyers they are professional and they are doing fully in favor to recover them clients not in favor to maintain justice I am not pointing everyone some people like this. This is just a thought of mine, nothing to hurt anyone.

I am willing to believe that there are good ones out there, I simply haven't met any. Being human, does not mean you have the right to act like a snake.

I spent 25 years of my working life working for lawyers. Some of them were really nice people. I know a lawyer in Santa Monica who has his own practice now. He was my first boss who was younger than me. At the time I worked for him (1976) he was a brand new lawyer who hadn't learned how to be cold and heartless. He worked for a law firm downtown L.A. then.

Well, I hope that he is still a good person. I wish they all had some kind of moral compass. There must be a real special place for them in hell, is that too harsh?
