2009 - the year that i decided to 'kick it up a notch' in regards to my personal style and individuleness (if that is a word).
i decided that i will dress how i want and wear and look for stuff that is different...maybe its a thrift store find or part of my collection (i collect vintage jewellry). i dont follow fashion trends (i cannot afford to) so i will, in 2009, create my OWN fashion trends.
how do you show your own uniqueness?

Good to hear! and I wish you well and it's confidence as well as positivity that is the driving force, you have both of those and you will Succeed! I believe that is half the battle, if you are determined, positive, focused and know exactly what you want you will be rewarded. Sounds like you have this already, go for it! My own uniqueness is my determination to get rid of my depression once and for all, including SAD and I am very happy to say that this year is the first year that I haven't had SAD and because I have two big goals that I want to achieve this year, moving home and getting a job I am feeling so much more happier, positive and determined, I WILL succeed. 2009 is Wolfie's year and the vibes are strong! All the best my friend.

I too have my own uniqueness. I have very long blonde hair, reaching the top of my butt. I do color it every so often. I wear clothes that are comfortable for me. I'm not into hip huggers. No bra. Very small on top. I have tshirts that are older than my 24 yr. old daughter. She laughs at me when I pull them out and look at them, but then put them away again. I dress like I'm from the 60's and 70's. I grew up in them years. I shop in thrift stores and second hand stores to find all of the good nifty things that people throw away that are very good indeed to wear. I love to collect and wear colorful socks. People collect many things, I collect socks. Love snoopy, so I have many snoopy socks, christmas, halloween, snow, valentines day socks, St. patricks day.
Sorry I could go on..........

I just act like me and dress like me, I really don't do anything outstanding but I don't follow the crowd either. I love my jeans, t-shirts and sneakers and I don't care what anyone else is wearing, I wear what I like and what is comfortable to me. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to afford todays fashion trends anyways so I guess it is a good that I like plain things. LOL!

I have never been one for fashion trends. Instead I enjoy what is comfortable, what I like, and what I think looks good on my body type (short and chubby). I don't think I really show individuality though and have never really thought about coming up with ways to do just that. Maybe I need to think about it a little more...

I guess am doing so (showing my individuality) by just being myself and be normal. Am not setting any goals to make and follow as I may just be frustrated if I failed. Am the kind of person who tends to be very passive and let things as they are. I also of course have some plans but am trying to be more considerate this time and not to give myself a hard time in achieving them and at the same time not having a hard time if they failed.

I wear the clothes I have, I follow my heart and mind not my friends, and I have always been that way.

Well, I have never been a slave to trends, so just dressing I show my uniqueness. I find things that compliment my shape, and that I don't see worn very often, and they make up me! Besides, I think that I am cute in whatever I wear! Its not the clothes that make me look good, its me that makes the clothes look good!

Hi Doll
I am still just a left over hippy of the 60's.
I only wear a bra cause I have too much going south
My hair is long like it always has been..no dye..no fashion cuts
Some of my clothes I've had longer then my kids
I'm really not like anyone else! I'm me!

Hey cher! Good for you! You go girlfriend! I don't exactly
follow trends either! I buy what I like and wear what I like!
Sometimes when I am shopping with one of my girlfriends she
makes fun of me because she doesn't always agree with what I
like or buy. We were shopping about a month ago in a new shoe
outlet and I bought a pair of high top sneakers. She said they
were for the young kids! Well, I said too bad, I like them!
So I bought them! Too bad! I wear appropriate clothing and
don't dress to young for my age, but I like what I like and
don't care what anyone says!

I don't believe there is uniqueness about me. I am who I am. I have never tried to be someone I am not. If people don't like me for who I am then that is their lose! I encourage you to be yourself and I hope you do show who you really are. If you like all that vintage stuff, GO FOR IT! who cares what other people think! Good Luck!!

I like to show my individuality by being myself and doing my own thing. I like to wear the clothes that I want to wear and do the things that I like to do. If your not yourself in life then I don't believe that you're ever going to be able to really live life to the fullest. Rule number one is you gotta be yourself.

i show my uniqueness not just by dressing up but by being myself. Individuality doesn't always necessarily pertain to fashion but attitude as well. I myself show the real me. I dress according to my mood. I don't follow the latest trends because if you do you would just be like everyone else. Therefore, you would lose your individuality.

I think thats wonderful that you feel that way. I really admire people who aren't afraid to go against the norm in the way they dress or address their individuality. My son is like that and I completely promote his individual style. I love vintage jewelery, but can't justify buying it even at thrift store prices.
