When you buy toilet paper do you buy it by the pack or one roll at a time?

I've often wondered when I am in the supermarket why people buy toilet one roll at a time. It is more economical to buy a pack rather than one roll. If I did not have the money for a pack while I am in the supermarket, I would sacrifice something else I am buying in order to get a pack rather than one roll. How long can one roll last, and you will soon have to buy another one anyway. Are you a pack or one roll sort of person?

I don't particularly enjoy buying toilet paper, it isn't a very exciting or satisfying purchase and you feel silly packing it around a store with you. Therefore I buy it in as big a package as I can store so I don't have to do it again for as long as possible. I think it's more single guys who buy it a roll at a time as they don't tend to be as with it when it comes to that sort of thing (no offense, guys!) and they also don't use it as much. Or maybe people just REALLY need toilet paper and have limited cash at that particular moment!

hi sudalunts! i am a very economical person so i rather buy one pack rather than a roll. in comparing the price it is more cheaper than a roll and also less time and effort. no need to go to the store everyday just to buy if it is already gone. better be a wise shopper than an extravagant one. thanks and happy mylotting.

I agree with you, but I guess some people have their reasons for buying a single roll.

Whenever I buy toilet paper, I try to buy them by the pack. This way, I don't have to buy them as often. Plus, there would always seem to be a roll when you need it. You don't want to be using the toilet and find out there isn't one. That's not a fun feeling. You'll just need to have a place to keep it while you have the pack.

We buy the pack. just the other day, my husband bought one of the larger packs. Usually though, I buy it, I get like the 4 roll pack. I'm going to try to stock up on stuff like this whenever I get the chance. I would love to have enough napkins abd paper towels to at least last me for a few months. It seems like I'm always going to the store to pick up something like this. I also think it might save me money.

You can buy it on pack or one roll only. But for wise spending of money, do it by pack. You can save, even only a little amount, it does have effect when your buying in volume. It also saves your time and energy, you dont go to the supermarket a lot just to buy 1 roll and go back again after another week. Tips for you, monitor your tissue. Do u use tissue a lot? and how often u need another roll?, This can be a great factor so you will know how many packs you will buy next time. Go and buy 2 packs and you wont have problem the next month. Its nice, :) nice to meet friends here in mylot. i love this

I buy those huge packs of double or triple rolls usually. My brother bought this huge box of 45 rolls of toilet paper at Sam's Club almost a year ago. He is finally down to his last 10 rolls. We normally go through a roll every few days in the main bathroom and about one a week in the other 2 bathrooms.

One roll? Why in God's name would I want to waste my time buying one roll at the time. I prefer to buy it by the pack. That way, if I get the sh*ts, I have a roll on stand-by ready for action. LOL

Well, when I am single, I used to buy in rolls but when I got married I learn it from my hubby to buy things by pack. Whether bath soap, toilet paper, tissue paper or whatever it is. and it is true, it is economical when you do it that way only 1 roll because we pay less but think of how many times you go back and buy another one? LOL.. that is a smart idea, buying by pack.

We usually buy it in packs because of economic reason too; its more cheaper if you buy it in packs rather than in a roll.

in our house we definitely buy toilet paper by the pack! there are 3 of us in the house and one roll just doesn't cut it LOL besides, why would i want to go out in 2 days or however long that one roll lasts only to buy more? you can get them cheaper when you buy in bulk and you don't have to go out again in a couple of days to buy more!

Hi there sudalunts. For me, i prefer also the packed roll of toilet paper since its more convenient and cheaper than buying only a roll. But when i don't have that much money for a pack, i just buy one roll rather than using nothing at all especially when i'm at home and the toilet paper run out. But i usually buy one roll on mini store near our home and will just buy the packed one at the grocery or supermarket.

Howdy. Well, if you have bidet OR if you are single OR perhaps short on money then that may be the only option to buy just one roll. It makes sense if you are single perhaps that one roll lasts like a week or something. If you go to the store at least once a week then perhaps that person doesn't feel the need to buy a big package of them. However I think it's nice to buy a package of them. Generally it costs less per roll. Plus it lasts longer. Cheers and happy days on myLot. Pablo

I just went up to the attic today to bring more toilet paper down. I am so glad that I bought that big bundle. I think it was 24 rolls too. I hate to have to run out and have none at home.

One roll of toilet paper would not last one day with three children, me and my husband in this house. I have to buy the pack. I like to go to walmart and get the big bulk packs. You know the one that has twenty four rolls. Its easier and it does help some on the budget.

I have seen people in the supermarket with a cart loads of items, yet they have separate rolls of toilet paper instead of a pack, this has always made me wonder why?????

I'm with the majority on this one. I buy it in as large of packs as I can find so I don't have to bother with it often. I even opt for the double rolls! They last longer The onlt occasion I could imagine buying a single oll would be if maybe I was on a camping trip or something. I have seen it in the store in single rolls but I just laughed and passed it up! LOL

I like to have it in bulk, so that I know I always have it. When we go camping we bring a roll, there is a roll in the car, just in case a public restroom does not have it. I am a toilet paper freak, I hate to run out, and will always buy when I do not need it when it is on sale.

I think it's better to buy a big pack. I usually buy a 12 roll pack. It just makes more sense and it's more economical. I mean, you really can't wait 'till the toilet paper runs out to go out and buy a new one. You are always going to need toilet paper in the house. Haven't you ever sat down on the toilet for number 2 and have the toilet paper run out on you?? I not a very good experience! So basically, I don't think the one roll thing is a good idea.

I think it is better to buy a pack or more, I have seen people in the market with a cart load of stuff, but they have one or two rolls of toilet paper.
