GUYS read about Net Neutrality and Spread the word. The internet as we know it may cease to be a free service that we can access. It may become like a cable channel where your subscription will dictate what you can access. Meaning you have to pay subscription in order to use Google, or myspace etc.. I think this is like a conspiracy. After they making internet so much a part of our lives like air we breathe then they are now thinking of tagging a price for it! Just pure greed. The net is an important part of how our society. It represents our freedom to speak, to write, to be who we are. http://ipower.ning.com/profiles/blogs/net-neutrality

The economy is a key to this. If many companies had to add expenses for the internet to their already sad budgets, they couldn't survive. Persoally, I can't add another bill to my load, so I'd have todo the withdrawal thing and do without the Net. That would be horribly sad, to say the least. I send letters and make phone calls to legislators to tell them how important free internet access is to their constituents and try to get them to keep it free. I tell everyone I know to do the same. It's too important not to be active about it.

This is a bit difficult, as they are going ahead with a costly change so that there is no more free TV, and I'll be listening to a lot of music, since, like so many hundreds of thousands of others, I can't afford the switch. There's some small indication that this will be delayed, but it's going to happen. Can we, indeed, stop the charges for the Internet? We can only hope so and continue lobbying every legislator we can.

Its great that you are actively doing something. I wish to spread the word so the voice against it will be louder. I had to agree with what you said. The economy is slowing and since almost all companies rely on the internet for some business activities. Adding to their expenses will only make the economy worst on a global scale.

Well you are right about that. I think men are starting to find it greedy to let this thing happen. I do hope they would not do it just for the sake of getting more profits from it. I think they are having more money just leaving it like it is now. There is more freedom and everyone can access it for free in the long run they are earning something from it.

Yes. And through the internet, we were able to reach people who are from another country, exchange ideas and do things together online. In other words we are somehow erasing some boundaries and building relationships because of the internet. I hope this will not happen
