Did you ever meet an online friend? I mean in reality

A few years back I was actively participating on online sites and online groups. I wasn't really looking for love or relationships, I was only trying to look for more friends. I did meet several, met women friends, men friends and groups. It was okay and I did gain a lot of friends. But sooner or later we all got busy, the site wasn't doing so well (it was having problems with domains and stuff) while I also used yahoo, sooner or later we just grew tired because we were not in the same area. But it was fun while it lasted. I actually met my partner online. It wasn't a dating site, it was actually a forum. I met him several times as a friend, we talked a lot until he courted me. I'm glad I met him, and though we're far right now (well not that far, only cities apart) I'm still glad I have him and soon we'll be together.

I have met too friends that I met on Myspace. Both time I took a friend with me,one of them has moved back to Hawaii about 3 years ago and the other still live in the same state I do. The both where very nice all though one of them I ended up dating for awail but I had to break it off when he started talking about having kids with me when we had only been dating for 1 week.

I have not many online friends and i usually use the net to keep connected with my existingfriends.However i joined a community for Dragonball Z fans in the orkut site and one guy responded on my discussion and he offerde to give all the episodes of Dragonball for free.I made a close acquaintance with him by Gtalk and he gave his phone number and street address and he invited me to meet him.I had to travel to the city for picking up something for my dad's shop and this guy's apartment was right near to my destination( it was over 80 k.m from my place to the city) and i phoned him when i reached there and he came with his scooter and took me to his home and he gave me the dragonball collection for free, no bartering or sharing and i have remained good frnds with him til .This was 2 years ago.So i had a true good experiance...

Hi there letsbcool! =) Yes, Im used to it and I find nothing wrong with doing it. But ill just make sure to myself that We would meet in a safe place and full of people. You know like malls and parks. So i would have no worries meeting with my online friend. I also met my ex's at an online community so internet has been a great part of my personality and my life. =)

Welcome to the site, as for your question no I have never started talking to anybody online before I met them in real life.

I have never met any of my online friends yet but someone here has hinted that he wishes to come over to my country. Well, no problem in accommodating that wishes and for that anyone here who wishes to visit my country I am glad to offer my place to stay and provide transport for sightseeing.

I have friends online but I never meet them before and I think I won't want to do so.

Hi letsbcool,I have never subscribed to online dating websites,but I am on another website,where I joined a group that all lived in my area,and after 12 months,one of the group suggested we all go out for dinner and arranged for us to all to go out to have dinner and meet each other,it was very interesting,especially when you try to match people with their online name.

I never try to meet my online friends in real life. It's too dangerous. However, one night I met a person on an online game called Runescape. The next day I met some one at the skate park and asked them if they played runescape and they told me their username... And they were the person I had met the night before on the game. It was weird. O.O Still, Pedophiles swarm the internet. Being so careless to use the internet to meet friends could get you in some bad situations.

I used to chat--like, intense chat--a few years back, and I had a friend there and we got totally close. We even sent pictures of each other and stuff. :)) Then one day, I was in the mall looking for laptops. I had my dad along with me, and then I bumped someone... and then we shrieked. The girl was my chatmate! :)) It was pure coincidence, but it was fun having met her and everything.

Yes. After we talking almost 2 or 4 year my friend visit my country for holiday. But i told him/her if i can take day off i will going with him/she to looking around my city. at less if am busy i will meet after office hour. They will stay in my country for 3 weeks first in jakarta after that going to bali or central Java.
