Yep, it's my birthday, turning 49! And looking at starting over again! My s/o and I are parting ways, and I've spent the last 4 days sorting thru boxes in the attic, and going thru stuff to get rid of.......So, today, for my birthday, I'm snowed in, and I'm going to make the best of it by scrapbooking! and doing nothing, no cleaning, no packing.
So what do you do special, or for yourself, on your birthday?

Well usually I dont really do anything for my birthday, but this year, I decided due to the fact I never had a sweet 16 birthday party when i was a kid, thats what I would like this year.

Thank you! You are the first to 'sing' happy birthday to me today! lol I do know that I will be receiving phone calls from my parents, sister and daughters. I have already received some birthday cards.........and one almost sarcastic sounding 'happy birthday' from my s/o. He did get up and turn on the coffee pot before I got up this morning LOL

I usually like to go to a movie and dinner with my s/o. He on the other hand like to eat pizza and watch the TV he will be 42 on jan 23.
I am so sorry to hear about your split. Go girl on your starting over.

Thank you both on the well wishes. I did have a good day of scrapbooking, and birthday phone calls, and made homemade spagetti dinner for my birthday dinner, and didn't even bother to clean up the kitchen after lol.

First off let me say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope it was a wonderful one. I know you had fun just spending the day for yourself, we all need that "me" time. Where I work they give us 2 options on our birthday, we can have a day off paid or we can work it and get paid double time and a half. I like the money so I normally always work it and then maybe on a weekend day I will try and do something for myself. Last year for my 30th birthday I took the kids to a big indoor playplace that even the adults can get in. We had a blast!

Well I might go to the pub for a special lunch but that is about it. As I am a single parent it is not easy for me to pay a childminder and to go out for a nice evening with my friends but maybe this year I will invite them to come around!

I'm not real big on going out anyway, so that's not really an issue for me. However, I just might walk down to the local pub and have a drink for my birthday. It will be a warm up next birthday

thank you. I have been scrappin for about 3 years and I love it. I have so much paper, and embellishments and always seem to find new stuff lol. It is fun. I also made a homemade spagetti dinner with garlic toast for my birthday dinner.

Don't ask me where my head was a couple of weeks ago when I put a H.B. message up on your comments because I knew good and well it wasn't your b-day then but I was thrown off when I saw your age change on your mylot page. Anyway while I was at it I also put one on your myspace. hahaha
I hope you have a nice day doing what you want to do.
When it is my birthday I know I will get a call from Misty and Tyler and I know that Craig will make dinner and clean up the kitchen.

Thanks, and for the early b'day messages too LOL. I just thought you were getting a jump on it LOL I some how doubt that I will have dinner made for me hahaha. But I did clean up the house yesterday, so no cleaning to do. And I have gotten one phone call so far, from Heather. I haven't really been doing anything this morning, having coffee, and just being on my laptop.

Happy birthday! Scrapping is a very good way to spend your birthday....I have been doing it alot lately. If it's my birthday I also do whatever I want to....like pick up fast food....sit around not doing much....for many years before my dad passed I spent it with him usually going to a casino....he loved to treat me that way. But if I was home alone I would probably do like you...scrap or stamp....and once again Happy Birthday!

Thanks. it was a good way to spend my day. After several days in the attic going through boxes and sorting and packing stuff, it was nice to just do what I wanted to do.

Happy 49th! When I was 49 I was full of vim and vigor. I will be turning 65 in March `09. So I asked my hubby to throw a luncheon for me at a deli, and I'm inviting 65 people (family, friends, ex-co-workers, etc.). Sorry about your S/O. Sometimes you're better off alone if it does not work out. For instance, when I told my hubby that I'm an old lady, he insulted me ("Your plot's waiting"). Again, happy birthday!!

yep my bithday had crossed it is july 19.i enjoyyed a lot on that day.My friends came to my house at the morning and they wished me.And we enjoyed going out.we are roaming on the roads up to afternoon.and at afternoon i had taken my friends to restaurent.And we eat and again roaming on the roads.And then at the evening we gone to movie.And the whole night we enjoyed a lottttt.

Thank you for 'singing' to me lol. Your birthday is the day after my sister's. I did enjoy my day. My daughters called, and I talked to my mom and dad. They all live in another state, across country.

Hello there! Happy birthday to you! I love scrapbooking. I would like to finish a scrapbook or two but I am always pressed for time these days. I have this pile of work on my desk that I don't feel like touching. LOL Yeah, I'm kind of bumming right now. I will probably get a few things down soon... God knows I need to... I am trying so hard to convince myself to get some work done or my clients will make my life difficult. Huhu... I guess the weather is making me lazy. Excuses, excuses...
