Sometime in class, we don't understand what the teacher is saying or you may not be in mood to listen to the teacher well. But you cant get out of the class. What do you do in this case?
I keep yawning with my mouth closed and my eyes get wet with boring tears. Very difficult time lol..

Send messages to your friends or chat with your classmates. But look at your teacher from time to time to show that you still listen to his lecture.

Hello nzalheart. When I was in school, I used to get bored of the lectures that my professors give. What I do is I eat candy. It keeps me awake. I always carry with me lots of candies during those boring classes. My classmates also asks candies from me to keep them awake too. There was this time when I ate the candy I still felt sleepy. So, I opened another one until I feel awake.

Hello nzalheart! This discussion remind me of something. I remember when I was still in college, I remember we have a teacher who just keep on lecturing and that she doesn't mind whether we are bored or not. What we did is just get a pen and a scratch paper, we write something there as if we are taking notes when in fact the two of us were just talking about some stuffs.

I usaually tun out the teacher. It is very hard to sit in a class for 3 hours and do nothing but hear a lecture. I will usaually think of what I am going to do when I get out of class, I will sometimes write things down or draw. More times than not though I am bored to tears.

Hi, nzalheart. Well when I was younger, I would pass notes and talk during 7th grade class. I was also laugh at the teacher too. But now as I have gotten older, I will just listen and be in a daze in my mind thinking about other things that are not related to the lecture.

Yup, there are lectures that I hated to turn up, because the lecturers were really boring - just a waste of time! But attendance was compulsory, so I had no choice, but had to appear. So while the lecturer talked, I dreamed - about my interests, weekends, books or other things. That was the only way I could get through each lecture!

You are also a dreamy guy like me. As I am interested in music. I keep imagining sometimes that the song I like is playing at my ear and that's especially good when there is a bit noise in the class and keep humming myself low at the same time lol..

Well, not sure if this is something I'd recommend, but I would imagine the tv falling on my teacher or inanimate objects talking....lol. Yeah, I was so bored I was hallucinating! I think drawing or taking notes might be a better option! If you ask questions and pretend to really care, sometimes you actually end up becoming interested! It helps if you do all your homework and really know the material so you can be more involved. It might seem like if you didn't know what was being talked about you would be more interested, but I find that less true. I always try to find something on the topic I'm studying that I'm really interested in. If I can't find anything,I fake it 'til I make it! I guess I just have a good imagination ;)

Imagining the TV falling on the teacher. Ha ha ! that's funny. That would end me laughing in the class alone and my friends would figure me mad lol...

What I usually do, when I was in your situation before was I always draw something that will make me awake. . I end up sketching/drawing my professor. . and it will turn-out to be a funny cartoon. .hahaha

This would have been a best suggestion to me if i was a good sketcher. I am zero in sketching. But what i surely did is scribbling random shapes in the paper.
I have a cousin like you. Once he bored listening to the lectures, then what he did was just like you. He sketched the teacher. But the teacher knew it. The teacher didn't scold him because he liked the sketch. And even he published the picture in his book as his photo as he was a writer.

I used to pretend to be taking notes, but I was really writing letters or short stories. Then there's the reading book hidden inside the notebook. (That one almost got me flunked out of Algebra in high school!)
At least with the writing letters, I'd keep that paper underneath the actual note-taking paper. It was very easy to pull over and hide the no-no part. Worked like a charm!

I would ask as many questions as possible. There is no point in being in the class if you are not paying attention/not understanding the material. Ask a lot of questions and maybe the teacher will finally say something interesting or useful. Staring at the wall and drawing pointless doodles doesn't sound like something that is useful or entertaining in anyway. So make it better. Good luck to ya.

Yeh I know there in no point is sitting thus. But I can't get out of the class too because the attendance also has the marks and that is rather not good impression on the teacher.
Ok! let me try as you say! I hope that will be interesting. Thanks!

i wish i could get out of it.....i keep looking at the clock and the class is going to drag on another hour....i guess part of my frustration is that my mind on other thing right now...i keep thinking about what a fun day i could've had with my friends....i really don't feel like sitting in the clas...

The lecturing is boring when we don't understand anything at all. Especially what I am feeling is that I am not being able to recover the previous classes that I didn't understand and that's why I am getting dull in the class.
Got to recover the previous chapters then I will be back to the real student.
That's not good habit lol....ha ha!
